What's behind this optimism. Kiffin is not known for his high school recruiting historically.

It's the LSU "Brand".

So is White on white violence that goes under reported because of the media. Most crimes done against white people is by white people, guess who controls the media?

It's stupid it was a rule in the first place, hire the best person even if they are blue.

Well if that was true, how would you know if someone was better when you constantly hire retread coaches. It's amazing how some coaches gets to fail multiple times.

Is north Iberville still a school ?

The have a Jr. RB (Jeremy Favorite) that is the real deal.

But what Cignetti did at Indiana is nothing short of amazing and will have a movie about it someday.

I agree, what Cignetti did is nothing short of a miracle at INDIANA at that. But it would be fun to see what Coach O would have done if he could recruit with a shitload of money to hand out to recruits. Both Portal and High School. It would be very interesting for sure.
Well one coach benefited from the NIL era. If all things were equal and Coach O can walk into a recruit household and offer him the type of money that's being thrown around today, it would be interesting for sure. Now with that being said, LSU with Kiffin is in a far better situation than previously.

I think the undefeated 2001 Miami Fla team had an average margin of victory of 32-33 points. And as loaded as the 19 LSU roster was, they have nothing on that team. Reed, Portis, Andre Johnson, Wilfork, Shockey, McGahee, Sean Tayor ect...... All they were missing was a Burrows, but Dorsey was more than a solid college QB.

IMO, that 2019 LSU offense would have scored frequently on that Miami defense running a no hurry-up offense. LSU never substituted on offense and Miami defense would have been gassed. Imagine that Miami defense have to defend for 70-75 plays against that LSU offense.

This game would have been a 49-17 type game. Clemson had Lawrence Higgins and Etienne and we beat them by 17….cmon

And we took a knee at the 5 yard line.

Not as impressive as day, lanning, and cristobal. You win that one

He also beat the crap out of a prime Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma)

one has no experience.

another had a serious injury and is going to miss spring practice.

There is this guy named Chambliss that quarterbacked Ole Miss and didn't participate in spring practice and he turned out pretty good.

So every fan base is fair weather?
No. Some show up winners or not.

So can you provide us with examples of this happening at colleges that are not competitive for 4 years in their sport?

You're forgetting Terrance Marshall who was the 3rd head of the 3 headed monster of Chase, Jefferson and Marshall. Marshall would be WR1 on this Indiana team. Let that sink in.
Well the RB at Missouri played for GRAMBLING. Also, last night there was a lineman starting for either Ole Miss or Miami that transferred from GRAMBLING also.

Are you thinking of Cam Coleman the WR from Auburn? Chaz Coleman plays defense.

Well INDIANA did it. Why can't LSU?
