In fact we have 8 and LSU took 44
Kiffin is trying to clean up the mess he inherited from Kelly who absolutely sucked at roster management. We had a lot of positions that needed to be restocked.
UGa has had Kirby for over 10 years and it's no secret that he continuously stocked and restocked the cupboard.
In other words you're comparing apples to moon rocks.

Kind of shocked state is on top 25

Does anyone know how to pull up last year's preseason ranking and see how badly they missed on Indiana?
2025 Roster Talent Composite
Last season they said Indiana had the 72nd most talented roster in college football. Their opponent in the national championship game was ranked 15th.
According to 24/7 the final four featured the 72nd, 21st, 15th, and 5th most talented teams in the country.
That is why I say the 24/7 talent composite has become laughable. It clearly struggles to identify and rank the most talented teams.
Even more damning is this, they said all these teams had top 25 rosters in terms of talent (School, Talent Ranking, overall record, SEC record).
South Carolina: 18th, 4-8, 1-7
Arkansas: 23rd, 2-10, 0-8
Mississippi State: 24th, 5-8, 1-7
They also ranked LSU 6th, Penn State 10th, Florida 12th, and Auburn 13th.

Before the transfer portal, when homegrown recruits were the thing, we got close enough. Even now, it seems to be more than just saying I put 50 million dollars in a transfer class. Maturity and experience are big factors, and player fit for the scheme seems to be just as important.
It's just hard to measure accurately when the sample size is just now coming in.

Didn't have Indiana in the Top 50 and Ole Miss was 24. Pretty much spot on if you ask me. /sarcasm

I bet you loved the 2023 roster talent composite. They had Texas A&M at #4 that season. Texas A&M went 7-6 that season.

2nd from the bottom last year. If you aren’t paying attention Georgia doesn’t use the portal a ton. Kirby has good evaluations on talent and stays committed to his players. Our NIL funds go towards retaining talent not trying to outbid everyone for players who quit on their teams.
Must suck knowing you could have more championships if Kirby hasn’t gotten complacent and gone the “good ole boy” route with his coordinator hires :)

It's a bunch of kids that are screwed up in the head and still developing. I'm surprised the ratings are not further off. If you can find a better system of gauging talent, the market is yours for the taking.

8-4 incoming. Can’t play the easiest schedule in SEC history every year. Back to the mean for the gays!

College sports are a joke.
You don't even know who's on the team anymore.

You like that your arch rival is #2 and ahead of you?
Didn’t you guys have the #1 class of all time and went 8-4? I don’t remember the exact details.

You are complaining about them not being able to 100% nail down the exact order of 1-5 out of 138 FBS teams?

You're an asshat and it will become obvious to you when,.oh I don't know, a QB you didn't make the effort to retain takes the Hurricanes to the NC title game.
If your son landed at San Angelo State for 10K, and then balled out and was offered 900K to go play at TCU, would you call him a quitter?
