What powers did declaring the national emergency give him? Mainly what was he trying to unlock for the administration to use? Wouldn’t any president declare a national emergency during Covid?

Yeah dude Trump withholding funding from states to keep them from their decided measures with millions of people dying while almost every other country and expert and health organization was all for locking down fully would have totally not ended in the left destroying him.

I truly believe the left wanted him to go against them so they could bury him. I don’t even think he’d have had the public backing him with the narrative available to the left and the media. I believe the Covid death count was plastered everywhere specifically to set up what they would have done to him. I think their praise for Cuomo and other countries and the vilification of Trump was all carefully curated to end him if he didn’t go along with the plan.

Having elected officials in each state decide was a perfectly sound plan to avoid this, imo.

He certainly pushed back on things, though. Enough that I don’t think it’s out of bounds to potentially go after Fauci if his actual thoughts on Covid veered wildly from his recommendations. Recommendations that states used to frick us.

I don’t think what Trump did during Covid invalidates any measure he’d take now. I haven’t seen you post anything in here that would bring anyone to your conclusion that it’s ridiculous.
