Or trash pickup.

I won’t argue it should be one.

Right... the general smell, and homeless problem in New Orleans make it a much better city than BR

Nola is quite literally a cesspool.

There is quite literally nothing that BR has that makes it better than New Orleans lol

To each their own. That place needs a makeover inside. It smells awful.

The smell and not having homeless trying to scam you for money/shoes, or just coming up to you in general make BR a much better place than New Orleans.

Far less piss and shite on the ground in BR than New Orleans as well.
Traffic is also way worse in new orleans than BR.

By what metric defines "worse"? Murders? Cause Birmingham averages over 100 homicides a year. Montgomery hovers around 40-50. Of course, Birmingham has nicer areas. Vestavia and Mountain Brook are nicer than Pike Rd/East Montgomery.

Have you ever gone anywhere in New Orleans that wasn't the French Quarter

Macon, GA isn’t as bad as the cities you mention, but it does deserve an honorable mention.

Yes, a lot. All of new orleans has a stench to it. And theres fricking homeless everywhere. I live in BR and done quite a bit of work in new orleans. I'd gladly sit thru BR traffic, than fight my way thru New Orleans traffic. You must be a local, with your vast knowledge of the 2 cities?

A lot more foreigners in New Orleans - I like my American cities to be, you know, filled with Americans.

And a whole lot more of this going on.

. Little Rock, AR
-If living in Arkansas wasn't bad enough, you have to live in violent Arkansas.

Disagree with you on this one.

True...

And apparently we can't figure out why the SEC is so good in men's football and basketball either.

1. Memphis, TN...nothing else is even close.

Jackson, MS is, and that's not even close. I've actually lived in both places

I've flown into Jackson, MS a few times...but haven't spent nearly as much time there as I have in Memphis. I will defer to you, since you've had more time in both.

Next time you visit you should venture out of the French quarter.

You got me. I'd only spend a week or so at a time when I would visit a plant we had in Millington (probably a total of 12 weeks there). Later, when I worked as a consultant, had a client site that site was just over 5 miles away from MEM (Memphis International Airport).

In Chicago, I spent a lot of time in Chicago Heights, and in the downtown area (Dickens Ave), but have also spent time in nicer spots like Batavia and Lemont.

haha, fantastic timing. I was gonna stay there potentially tomorrow night on my way to HHI.

The chain hotels are right by the interstate a few miles from town. You'll have no issues there.

Well we do know that the violent crime rate is over 363% higher than Chicago.
