Next time you visit you should venture out of the French quarter.

Also, how is New Orleans not in consideration? Terrible crime, terrible climate, terrible traffic, a lot of it is super prone to natural disaster.

New Orleans has issues but I’d put it in the top 5 best towns in SEC territory before I put it anywhere near the bottom 5.

4. Jackson, MS -It's amazing to me that people are born here and decide to continue to live here. MS is getting better as a state, but this city sucks.

Should easily be number 1.

Baton Rouge hate is so overplayed. Not my home, but there’s plenty places I’d live in BR.

Jim, you’re killing me man. Nobody is throwing 300 million of their own money into this thing. There’s no guarantee of TV, there’s no guarantee of more superstars, and the pitch is we couldn’t be profitable with billions of dollars of Saudi money, but we can with your 300 million.

How you ask? We’re going to scale back and become even less watchable.

Sankey is trash and always has been.

These decisions are all being made by network executives. Sankey is a puppet just like the coaches are.

The BIG is working on behalf of Fox and the SEC for ESPN.
You’re also basing this on the SEC rant where most posters live in towns where everyone has the same last name.

Good. That was a terrible football weekend.

I’m torn on this. On one hand I agree, awful weekend of football.

On the other hand - we keep making it harder for SEC teams to get into the CFB playoff.

I don’t think most people are under the impression that Louisiana is super nice compared to anywhere else. I’ve never seen that argument made. Food, festivals, family…crap like that is what they like. I’m in the number that lived in alot of other “nicer” places and made a conscious choice to be back in the motherland. No other place I’d rather be…problems and all.

I’m with you baw. Travelled all over and there’s nice places all around the country. But there’s also problems everywhere. This board obviously talks about LA’s more.

LA is home and I love it here. Certainly not for everyone and I understand that.

winning score is going to be like -30

And the winning score was exactly -30

Can’t be happy with that.
Who on the Ole Miss staff works that area of the country? Genuinely asking because his final 5 was all big 10 teams and ole miss.

Helena Moreno’s sister had piles of lawsuits and discovery coming out on Kennon including the night he was naked on the balcony of City property beating his wife. Should be fun to watch her follow the money trail. She has them squirming. Latest is the City stopped fighting after spending over 50k in legal fees for Tony.

I have no idea what you’re talking about, but I’m interested.

Alabama is already known for having some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

If you like your beaches over crowded, filled with white trash, and inhaling cigarette smoke, sure.

The winning score was (-31) last year

Right. And they did a 22 million dollar renovation after, and guys are still torching the course.

That’s all I’m saying.
I don’t think there’s been a single positive change to college football in the last decade. I’m sure that’s hyperbole on my part, but man give me the BCS combined with a 4 team playoff and call it a day.

How do you think Clemson get Ferrelli from Cal? Ya fricking retard

I’m not accusing Golding of being the only coach tampering.

I’m saying Golding is a moron to send photographic evidence that he’s tampering.
What an absolute moron to send actual evidence of tampering.

LINK

“Swinney alleged that Golding texted Ferrelli during an 8 a.m. class and asked for the amount of his buyout at Clemson.

Then Golding sent Ferrelli a photo of a $1 million contract offer, according to Swinney. Rebels star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, a former Ole Miss starter, also called Ferrelli, allegedly attempting to lure him back into the transfer portal.”
They paid a boatload of money to renovate this course and the winning score is going to be like -30.

That seems like maybe not worth the money

Donor fatigue will set in soon at most places. It's ok to chunk millions to win some games in the short-term but long-term the money folks will not be so willing to continue to sink funds into a financial hole of which there is no return on investment

I’m surprised this isn’t happening already. Truthfully, as much as I want LSU to win, I have no interest in donating for these guys to be treated like professional athletes. I’ll to games and I’ll buy shirts, hats, jerseys, etc but beyond that I’m out.

I’m not knocking anyone who does, but it just doesn’t interest me.

There are 10,000+ posts by LSU fans themselves talking about how O destroyed the program and BK had a huge rebuilding job. Yes, we have doz receipts.

I was one of them. O the HC left a disaster behind when he left. He wasn’t prepared for the NIL era and his roster construction was terrible.

Fortunately he won’t have any of those responsibilities and can recruit and cheerlead. People here love him. Recruits love him. Players love him. I’m all for it.

re: Ranking the SEC in terms of BBQ

Posted by Swagga on 5/22/26 at 6:51 am to
For as much good food as we have in LA our BBQ is lacking. It’s improving but still well behind our neighbors in Texas obviously.

I think these rankings in general are dumb because of how different the styles are between Texas, Memphis, the Carolina’s, KC etc. My preference is some Texas style smoked brisket, but I’m not turning any of it down.
