I never like reading about people losing jobs.

I just hope the majority of those people laid off were smart enough to see the writing on the wall and will land on their feet.

Pirate King might be the only person still holding out hope for this league.

I'm sure some NOLA area state reps will try though

Idk I’m in the NOLA area and it seems like everyone is pretty excited about the news.

This is great PR for the state. Doesn’t matter if it’s Abbeville, Shreveport, Monroe, or New Orleans as far as I’m concerned.

Bring the business and we’ll find a spot for it.

Serious question for non-insane LSU fans. Do you really care about this? With the team that is already in place, you already have a top roster and a good coaching staff, is it really worth it to go against public opinion, the rest of the SEC and the commissioner for your backup tight end and a depth piece on the defensive line that probably won't play for a couple months? And again, these aren't your guys you're hoping to get back who have been part of your program, one is someone who publicly blasted your coach. Again, I know there are some nutjobs on here who will defend whatever LSU and Kiffin do even if it cost them their jobs and family, but for the normal casual fan, don't you just think it's easier if the SEC says no it's not allowed and you move on to focusing on Clemson?

I’ll be completely honest. I don’t care at all, if kiffin didn’t try it another coach would. His job is to help LSU win football games.

If the SEC says no that’s fine. We’ll be where we were a week ago. Not concerned either way, but the whining has been hysterical.

Then Lane had to go sign a couple of pros. Oh well.

My favorite is all the posters letting us know how much LSU will be disliked for this.

As if anyone outside of LSU fans were rooting for us this year anyway.

It’s great that they have made this progress. What’s infuriating is the fact they’ve done this indicates it was possible all along. There just wasn’t the will to do it.

Drones and other technology has really enhanced NOPDs ability to police. You don’t have to rely on neighbors who “didn’t see anything” when you have crime cameras set up everywhere to tell the story.

The new police chief has been a big proponent of bringing in new technology and getting NOPD out the stone ages.

That's what makes Ole Miss arrogance so spectacular. Texas arrogance is backed by money, academics, and championships. Alabama arrogance is backed by the greatest football dynasty the sport has ever seen. Ole Miss arrogance is backed by a bow tie, a tailgate, and a deeply held conviction that putting on loafers magically transforms a Mississippi redneck into a member of the British peerage. They're not even pretending to be athletic royalty anymore. They've skipped directly to pretending they're actual royalty. The Grove isn't Versailles. Oxford isn't the Hamptons. And wearing pastel pants while getting hammered under a tent doesn't make you high society. It makes you a redneck with a dress code.

 bravo sir. This is one of the better written takedowns on the SEC rant.
That’s what happens when your school has a 97% acceptance rate.
Yup Sankey is trying to score points and Wade is an easy target.

Pay no attention to Sankey totally fricking the SEC in the playoffs and his consistent getting steamrolled by the BIG 10.
I always grab tees, koozies, and food / drink.

By the time I get done I don’t want to haul a bunch of clothing or other gadgets out of a golf tournament.

Keep it simple.
Rahm is going to get alot of shite (and deservedly so) but I’ll be really happy to see him playing on the tour again.

Woah. Even Jim is seeing the propaganda.

Someone call up the fat lady and tell her to warm up.

Sam is going to get one. He keeps popping up and eventually things go your way.

I do think he needs to work on being more aggressive. He plays very conservative on Sundays IMO.

re: Superdome looks dark- no color!

I would like to see some color in the end zones but otherwise I think the dome looks good. Can’t say the color of the turf bothers me much.
I’m sitting here thinking my TV is going out

 glad I’m not the only one.

Counting Slidell as St. Tammany is like counting Cornell as an Ivy school If it’s at Lakeshore that’s Mandeville, but it feels more like Lacombe

You guys on the north shore have to stop doing the mental gymnastics to pretend it’s not happening in your backyard now.

The public schools over there have made a dramatic shift and pretending otherwise is putting your head in the sand.

We don't need a new thread for every article about LIV.

It’s the biggest story in golf on a golf board. Do you expect people not to discuss it?

Compare the public schools and crime stats to the southshore and get back to us

Keep bragging about your public schools and middle class mansions and watch how quickly your attitude changes.

My brother is moving back to the southshore from Covington. He’s at the point where he’s going to pay for private school either way now.
Those are some mighty strong accusations from an account that has been mostly pro LIV during this entire saga.

This is going to be a hilarious documentary one day.

With the paid players I say some should be held out like Seaton.

I feel the opposite. Throw a bag of cash between them and make them fight for it.
