We don't do anything like the yankees do in Mizzou. The only thing different is we have better tex-mex/mexican food here.

Of course Texans aren't southerners. Just like every other group of people living outside of the south, being seen as "southern" is a negative thing.

Texas is bigger than a lot of European countries. And have fun traveling accross I-10 for those just passing thru.

You are exactly right (sarcasm). Think of all the typical Yankees from there...

Robert Earl Keen, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle (at least he grew up there)...

No way Tennessee would have sent 50,000 volunteers to to fight to "liberate" a yankee state from Canada.

And with a GDP of 1.2 trillion, I'm sure our economy is larger than most of them as well.
