The worst tradition in the SEC is the school that acts like a service academy and simultaneously calls themselves farmers.

Well this is one of the dumbest things I've read on here.

Soldiers are regular people at the end of the day. They are farmers, mechanics, programmers, and all other kinds of professions after they serve.

The excess of Sandstorm at home games. It should only be reserved for big moments. Not after field goals against teams like Eastern Illinois.

The Corp “triggers” me for a few reasons.

1.) I realize this is an over generalization but every Corp member I’ve met or been friends with (which is many) think they are a “better” Aggie and “keeper of the spirit” vs the non-regs. I realize not all will have this mentality of course but it’s been my experience

2.) When you meet someone outside Texas, they think everyone was in the corps. That’s the first question I get when someone finds out I went to A&M. Again a student organization of 5%.

3.) this is not the corps fault explicitly and it’s not right, but the corp of cadets propagates the “A&M is racist” myth in my opinion.

I do think breaking up the corp block at games would be a nice change

I'm surprised the nut squeeze was not mentioned.. if that was a tradition at my school, I'd want it OUT.

They have the most traditions, the weirdest traditions, and the most weird traditions.

I hate the fireworks on the field as the team comes out of the tunnel. It's that shite which started antagonizing the tiger, which is why he stopped being willing to get into his cage and attend games. Plus, the smoke hangs around for half the first quarter. There's fireworks on top of the south endzone expansion. Fire those off, but just lay off of using the ones at field level. I could also do without the ROTC firing that cannon during pre-game. That tradition only goes back to the Les Miles era unlike the Pershing rifles.

I have 2 degrees from A&M and I've never heard of the nut squeeze anywhere but online forums.

But the only evidence I've seen that it ever existed seems to support the argument to break up the corps block.

For me it’s hearing that “Dixieland Delight” played, which is tacky AF. I would also not mind seeing the $1,000,000 Band be chopped from the field. The music and AV system is so loud now that it’s kind of supplanted the band

For A&M, Corps Block seating. Prior to the 1997 season, cadets were dispersed throughout Kyle Field.

I was a student when that shite started.

Many upperclass students (like me) got pushed up to 2nd deck on ticket pulls. We were pissed.

I love Baba O'Reilly but it's a little dated when the Dawgs take the field.

If that's untouchable, I could probably do without hearing Seven Nation Army 19 times a game.

Playing Baba O'Riley before the game. I don't see any connection between the Who and college football.

Edit: Sorry Vox, didn't see you already posted this.

1. It's Corps...with an s. Corp is the abbreviation for Corporation.

2. Ask TBird, who was a cadet, how "racist" the Corps is and see if he feels the same way you do.
