Ok, how many times are they not going to call pick plays on UGA?
Alabama:
1) Milroe's limitations at QB have come back to bite (hard). There's a big talent drop off from 2010-2020 years at most positions. This is a good but not great team.

2) Our two (competitive) losses look better over time and we may have overreacted to the close USCe game

3) Playoff appearance seems likely if we beat LSU which would be a successful season in yr 1 post Saban. They could beat anyone on a given day, but seem unlikely to string 3 playoff wins together with Milroe being so up/down
I think you have to really treat track and field a bit different with indoor and outdoor more like 1/2 a championship.each
Ricky Blanton's layup to beat UK is one of those epic shots in the NCAA BB tournament lore
There's only 2 major college sports: football and basketball

College Baseball is such a miniscule presence nationally that it's really not a comp
This will be the norm in a decade.
He is what he is.

A true freaky deaky athlete that Can make unbelievable plays with his legs & throw the ball 50 yards fairly accurately. Unfortunately he is bad a pre/post snap reads, processes the field slowly most of the time, and his accuracy at short to medium depth is atrocious. Now after Jalen Hurts, I hesitate to say a talented guy can't learn to be a great QB in college, but the signs aren't promising after start 14 games that we get Milroe 2.0 in the 2024 season

Alabama's ceiling with him with the new schedule is going to be another 2-3 loss season I'm afraid (which may still get them a CFP bid in the new format to be fair)

They blitzed

True, but that was largely adjusted to after Q1 and I think they only had 1 sack the rest of the game.

What let UM stay in the game was Milroe making several bad decisions (the slide short of a certain first down, the fumble, multiple dump offs behind the LOS, the last play not following the blocking)) and close to two dozen bad snaps. Theses were all just absolute drive killers.

We over achieved but still ended up with a disappointing 2 loss season with inconsistent play on offense from start to finish, wasting a championship quality defense. While exciting, we had a lot of games we could have lost all season long.

Milroe is so exciting running but so inconsistent in presnap reads, managing the pocket and throwing at all depths. I can't imagine he's going to be much different next year

Milroe is a truly magnificent athlete but lacks many fundamental skills to be consistent at QB.

When Milroe was named starter I said the ceiling of this team was 2-3 losses. They certainly over waaaaay achieved winning the SEC, but Milroe's limitations caught up with us and we will finish with another 2 loss year that's going to be a forgettable season several years down the road.
The bad snap kind of crippled the potential for the play to work. I don't know if ive ever seen one center get the yips so bad that every 2nd or 3rd snap was bad
JD was the most electric player I saw this year, just a monster season for LSU’s whole offensive unit.

He quietly maybe had the greatest offensive season in SEC history even though they just never looked as dominant as the Burrow teams or the Tua/Jones/Young units at Alabama

Bama fans, from your perspective, what are the keys to beating UGA?

How about we try not to have penalties on scoring plays?

My God I think we have literally had about 10 TD called back.

Any forcible contact to head/neck of a defenseless player.

Seems like he nailed him in the chin.

If so, Not a legal hit.

Facemask was planted in the chest. There wasn't a blow to the head/neck as defined in the rules. This was confirmed by the booth review
Nope. Was reviewed in the booth who confirmed the call. The Turner's head was up with the facemask in his chest and he did not launch. By definition, it was not targeting

I'm expecting and explanation on why the hit on JD wasn't reviewed on the field. The ref should have flagged the play.

It was reviewed in the box. No targeting. Flag for unnecessary roughness was correct because of landing on him
A) Arkansas has some talent on offense, which you could see in their game with LSU.

B) Milroe’s limitations on presnap reads, the speed he processes the field, and inaccuracy on short/intermediate throws are going to gum up the offense enough we are never going to pull away from anyone even when we outclass them. We will be favored to sweep UT, LSU, and Auburn but could plausibly lose all 3 games

There's no disputing it he's been the top QB in the league this season (and large parts of 2022 FWIW). You always worry he's one concussion away from being done, but right now he's a super star
