I’ve been to every SEC stadium except for the new additions and Lexington. The general seating has marginal differences across the league.

I think Kroger Field is the only SEC stadium with all chair-back seating.

Basically, Texas doesn’t have to play in big stadiums full of hostile fans. U split the stadium vs OU and the rest are small. You team will be in for a rude awakening in the SEC.
Texas am 103,000
Tenn 103,000
LSU 102,000
Alabama 101000
Uga 95000
Florida 88000
Auburn 87000
USC e 80,000
Arkansas 76000
All over 60,000 except vandy

[Incoming SEC fans will be surprised when they take the road trip to Austin. Gameday and tailgating is extremely welcoming - I hope that was your experience.]

Like when the Whorns put our fans in the highest, worst seats in the entire stadium. Then turned off the AC in our locker room at halftime. It was about 100 degrees. We still won. I hope Coach does the same when Texas comes to Tiger Stadium. Justice is sweet

- Auburn has the best in game atmosphere and friendliest fans of any place in the SEC I’ve been to and is an incredibly underrated trip in the SEC.
- LSU is an awesome trip too, although their fans are what they are (you’ll find out soon enough). Their tailgating is second to no one as well.
- Ole Miss has great tailgating as most of the SEC does but their in game atmosphere is lacking.
-Alabama is a huge stadium with a so so crowd. Tailgating isn’t as good as some other spots I’ve been but it’s not terrible by any stretch.
-Knoxville is a fun town and the weather is always nice and cool when I’ve been. The stadium is ginormous and gets loud when they are decent but needs a lot of cosmetic upgrades.
- Lexington is an awesome road trip and they just renovated. Not much tailgating but the town is fun and the atmosphere is underrated.
- Vandy is obviously a fun trip because Nashville is awesome and you’ll win the game, but the stadium is trash and your fans will outnumber theirs 3-1.
-South Carolina has one of the most dedicated fans bases in the conference and their stadium is loud as hell. 5 points is a ton of fun too.
-Mississippi State will quite possibly be the loudest stadium you visit with the cowbells if we are having a good year. Our tailgating and town are underrated and perennially clowned on by people who have not visited the town since 1997 or so, but you will have a good time and be treated well, like most other places in the conference.
- I’ve never been to Georgia’s stadium so I can’t comment on their game atmosphere but I have been to Athens and they have the best college town in the conference and it’s not close. That’s a road trip to put on the top of your list.

Texas has a stadium named after a mississippi state coach.

Joins Alabama who has a stadium named after a Kentucky and Texas A&M coach.

They are all special in their own way. All the schools take great pride in what they offer.

I have been a season ticket holder at LSU since 2014. Before that I attended games throughout the Saban era in the student section, and then one game a year until 2014.

Sadly, I can say that the raucous atmosphere is not consistent like it was in the early to mid 2000's. Part of it is us becoming a fat cat expecting success every year. In the past we were always trying to prove someone wrong to get respect. FL in '97, Tenn in '00, UGA in '03. '03 UGA was the loudest game I have ever been to. The noise was sustained throughout the defensive series, and I remember that during a TV timeout in the 3rd quarter, the crowd gradually got nuts and sounded like the QB was under center when we were still at commercial.

Tiger Stadium only gets loud now for the big games (1 or 2 a year). But I can tell you it will be nuts the first time you visit TS, so make sure you come to the first meeting.

Stadiums I like in the SEC:

Texas A&M - very loud and passionate fanbase

Auburn - Passionate fanbase/great atmosphere

Ole Miss - good tailgaiting with an intimate and traditional collegiate football atmosphere.

Tennessee - Great scenery in the state. Whenever they get relevant again it is a great stadium atmosphere

Florida - Raucous crowd

South Carolina - Stadium is OK but it is not on campus which gets a black mark.

UGA - Never been but I hear it is a great gameday atmosphere.

You are going to love it. The SEC is truly a dysfunctional family that deep down loves each other, but hates each other on the surface. The comaraderie is amazing.

LSU night games are much safer for you at Tiger Stadium.

Suggest when wearing your Texas gear you only attend at night.

If we are going off how nice the stadiums are then Arkansas is a lock for top 5 and possibly higher.

Boxes all around the stadium and the new addition of the North endzone easily puts them in top 5. The outside of the stadium doesnt look like a parking garage like most either.

Although it hasn't been loud in a long time Greg McElroy said it was the loudest stadium he has ever played in and that was before the North endzone was done

I gurantee you 90 percent of the people that ranked all 14 stadiums in this thread have only been to a couple of them.

Neyland is very difficult to rank. Most posters otb likely have never been to most of these stadiums and the ones that have have never been to a VOLS game when they are even decent. OU fans could probably give a better ranking of Neyland at its best than any SEC fan. 15 OU is the only time I have heard Neyland at its best since 04 Florida or maybe 06 Cal.

It is horrible with the product on the field being so bad but outside of late 90s Swamp and LSU I have not been to a louder stadium at its best (never been to AU at its peak either).

Kyle Field is the “best” stadium I’ve been to in the league.

I have been to all except Starkville and Arkansas.

Also been to OU but not DKR.
