Is a trashy aesthetic.

A&M way too high…I’d rather play there than The Swamp or Jordan-Hare no question

Thanks. Yes, I’ve been a college football enthusiast my entire life so my understanding of the venues is as good as it can be from afar. Now that SEC is going to be home I can’t wait to actually take them in in person.

Answers are pretty much what I thought they would be. DKR atmosphere seems to mirror Neyland and/or Bryant Denny based off of these descriptions.

If you want to sample the LSU hospitality, put on an Alabama shirt and walk around. What you experience while doing that will properly introduce you to the SEC.,

I have family that is LSU alumni (several ex-LSU football players.) They brought my girlfriend and I to one of the games. After Alabama beat LSU, they argued about whether to let us ride back. I kid you not.

Neyland is hard for a lot of people because Tennessee has been down for so long. When they are good and playing a big game that place is deafening. It's just only happened a few times in the last decade plus (Oklahoma a few years ago, Florida a few years ago).

Alabama can be loud for big games but the older fanbase combined with a stadium structure just not built for massive sound definitely makes it less of a noise cauldron than Auburn or LSU.

But all the road trips are great and folks love to have visitors, especially new OOC or new conference opponents.

As most have noted, there really are very few "bad" stadiums if you are a big program/team coming to town (like Texas).

State, for example, has done tons of renovations and has a great little stadium now

I’m glad you corrected the people who just go with the flow but have never been. It’s always the same. I remember someone saying we had the ugliest campus and others followed. Then, fans from other Sec schools who had actually been said it was beautiful.

But this is always good, it lets me know who the people who Claim to be die hard fans that travel are.

Not really. Death Valley is the only stadium that can rival Neyland when the Vols are actually good. OU fans got to experience what Neyland had to offer in ‘15.

But a trash team is never going to have an enthusiastic crowd so there’s a lot of receny bias here hurting Neyland.

Also, when someone yells "Tiger Bait!" at you, especially if it is a big drunk group of cajuns, get really pissed and get in a fight with them.

Honestly for sips they are going to think they were let out of prison after the B12. Most B12 stadiums are basically glorified HS's in atmosphere, they are all small, and are just "meh". Vandy is crap of course but at least it is in Nashville. Mizzou is nothing great but it's still decent. All the rest range from unique and interesting to absolutely epic.

Texas has an aesthetically great stadium. Lots of luxury stuff. In the end though it is basically the NFL team for Austin and for most attending it is a social event (I live in Austin). You can tell they are much more interested in advertising than atmosphere. For SEC folks I would recommend going to Texas for the first game if you can go. They like shiny objects and novelty so they will be excited for the first game or for a big game, as long as Texas is competitive. If Texas is losing though that place empties out in a hurry and everyone is running to drink beer at the tailgate or somewhere, they are insanely fair weathered fans.

OU is nice. Should be midlevel in the SEC. Have some cool stuff and its an interesting trip. Atmosphere is nice but not especially intimidating.

FWIW though, there is no doubt in my mind the atmosphere at Kyle Field when Texas comes for the first time again is going to be absolutely insane. Probably will cost more on Stubhub than the Super Bowl. Will be fun when A&M goes to DKR as well but as I mentioned the sips will have all left by halftime as they get taken to the woodshed.

You fricking pansies changed the name of your stadium, just like your fight song. You also split your band!

As much as some of of us hate each other, it really is kind of a brotherhood. I've enjoyed everywhere I've visited. Every place has your white trash Walmart fans, but you'll have a great experience everywhere you decide to travel. I've made friends from every school.

Florida was tops in the 00s. LSU has been the best since then. Both of those stadiums can trap a lot of sound. Auburn is really good too. Georgia and Alabama are almost surprisingly tame. I know Neyland has had a massive capacity and I was always impressed by that when I was growing up. But it is another disappointment, especially with the product on the field letting those fans down. I’ve not been to Kyle field, and the others aren’t particularly noteworthy.

If you’re asking about how modern the facility is or the architectural beauty the answers will be very different.

dont start making threads until you pass the 500 post mark, and 250 of those posts need to be apologetic in nature for how annoying your fanbase is.
