I’m going to say LSU is the best just because I’m biased. I for one though think Auburn is highly underrated. I’ve been to Auburn many of times and it can get pretty wild there. One of the best college atmospheres in college football.

On a national level, Jordan-Hare is significantly underrated

SEC fans know just how difficult it is to escape the Plains with a win, especially if you’re up against a decent Auburn team and the game is at night.

Also, a quick note on LSU.

The piss balloons really aren’t that bad: anything that masks the eaux de swamp butthole is a welcomed reprieve from that stench that permeates all of Baton Rouge and most of Louisiana.

Game atmosphere is better at Jordan Hare for me but that's probably because the 3 times I've visited Death Valley Alabama won.

I still would list Death Valley #1 in overall atmosphere because of the tailgating experience.

I think Bryant Denny is the best looking stadium from outside.

From a Big-12 QB visiting an SEC stadium...

"last year when we went to play Tennessee in Neyland Stadium, that was probably the best game experience I've had and probably will ever have. That's a different type of loud. I can't even describe it. It was unbelievable." ~ Baker Mayfield (Athlon Sports June 2016)

A lot of lower bowl Texas season ticket holders gonna be pissed when they get moved to the uppers.

SEC has a mandatory number of visitor seats in lower bowl.

Auburn is by far the most underrated stadium in the conference.

It’s awesome and loud as frick.

The other usual suspects are all great in their own way. Even the little ones have novel characteristics that make them stand out.

The stadiums and atmospheres are gonna be a massive difference when you come over from the Big 12.

Meh, atmosphere there is top notch. The actual stadium, not so much.

I'd say the same for Auburn and JHS.

Jordan hare is electric. Swamp can be good at times also.

I went to the Bama-OU game in Norman in 2002 or 2003, and the atmosphere wasn't that much different than most of the SEC atmospheres.

there is no doubt in my mind the atmosphere at Kyle Field when Texas comes for the first time again is going to be absolutely insane.

Yeah, that's gonna be a must-see event when that happens.

Hopefully it will be half as entertaining and full of hate as the Egg Bowl has been of late. I'm all for the Iron Bowl and DSOR, but those rivalries are lacking the pure hate that the Egg Bowl has (along with the shenanigans on the field the last 5 yrs or so). Hopefully, that hate shows up Texas sized for that one.

I think so. From above, it looks as intended but the lower you get the more it looks like a female reproductive system. I think this will be a good idea in concept but with poor real world execution. Kind of like the Statues they had of the football players.

Nicest Stadiums (just the stadium, the actual physical structure, nothing else):

(1) Alabama
(2) A&M
(3) Georgia
(4) Auburn
(5) Florida
(6) Arkansas
(7) Mississippi State
(8) Ole Miss
(9) Kentucky
(10) Tennessee
(11-12) Eh, whatever

Best gameday atmosphere (For a big game)

(1) LSU - A night game there is the pinnacle of college football
(2) Alabama
(3) Florida
(4) Georgia
(5) Ole Miss (The grove really is a fun scene)
(6) Auburn
(7) Texas A&M
(8) Tennessee (Vol Navy is a must)
(9-12) All fine except Vandy

Best college town (place to visit - not going to include Nashville, but it's likely #1 otherwise)

(1) Oxford
(2) Fayetteville
(3) Knoxville
(4) Lexington
(5) Athens
(6) Tuscaloosa
(7) Auburn
(8) Baton Rouge
(9-12) All fine in their own right, go if you haven't been

It's not, really. The upper end zones are ironically the nicest sections but lower bowl is basically what you said: it's a very old stadium concealed by newer structures

That is true for most college stadiums. I found your lower bowl to actually be roomy and comfortable compared to OU which is more like Tennessee in row width. Both cram you in.

OU has had a couple of rounds of renovations that have helped. Bowling in the south end zone was far overdue and really helped the atmosphere. We still need to fix the west side upper deck and press box.

If I recall yall have some major plans but had to cut back because there wasn't enough demand and money?

Way too many people on here like to talk about how nice areas of the stadium are that 99% of people going to games will never see.

I’ve been to every SEC stadium except for the new additions and Lexington. The general seating has marginal differences across the league.
