Nope, I'll take Henry.

Bama shut Chubb down in 15 a week before his injury. He had decent stats because he broke a long TD run late in the game with Bama up 34-3 and playing backups.

What backups were on the play that he broke the long TD?

I'll take Darren McFadden over any other SEC RBs in the 2000s.

All stats Chubb pre-injury

Derick Henry- 6.0
Nick Chubb- 7.4

Yards per Game
Derick Henry- 99.4
Nick Chubb- 140.9

TDs per game
Derick Henry- 1.15
Nick Chubb- 1.33

It’s also worth noting that Bama’s OL was much better than Georgia’s in 2014 and 2015

Contenders for best SEC back since 2000:

Bama - Ingram, Richardson, Yeldon, Henry, Harris
Arkansas - McFadden, Jones, Collins
Auburn - Rudi Johnson, Irons, Tate, Dyer, Mason, Kerryon Johnson
Jawja - Moreno, Gurley, Chubb, Michel
Kentucky - Snell
LSU - Vincent, Addai, Broussard, Hill, Fournette, Guice, Edwards-Helaire
Mississippi State - Norwood, Dixon
Ole Miss - McCluster
Sakerlina - Lattimore, Davis

I’m sure I’m missing some dudes.

McFadden is the best and scariest running back I've ever seen live. Still remember him in 2005 as a true freshman on a bad team just run over and through an Alabama defense with DeMeco Ryans, Mark Anderson, Wallace Gillberry, Roman Harper, etc. He had a TD run in which he stiff armed Harper, I think, that was insane.

He almost single handidly beat us in 2007.

DMac, Zeke Elliot in 2014 and Todd Gurley in 2012 are the only times in the Saban era I've ever seen a running back just completely take over a game against us.

He was the third best RB in the 2014 Cocktail Party

Kelvin Taylor
25 car 197 yards 2 TD

Matt Jones
25 car 192 yards 2 TD

Nick Chubb
21 car 156 yards 1 TD

I think Chubb playing for a bad team and him getting injured have made people forget how good he was. The dude had a streak of 100+ rushing yards 13 games in a row and had the best Heisman odds after week 5 in 2015.

Tre Mason ran for 1000 yards in 2012 playing on arguably the worst team in SEC history.

Y’all always say this bullshite but 9 of the 11 starters were in on that play. There’s actual video evidence of it out there.

I was at the game and remember being both amused and embarrassed for Auburn's coaching staff that they left him in the game late so he could get to that 1000 yard mark.

ETA: Down 49-0, he was still getting carries. I believe his last carry of the game, which was the last play of the game, was what put him over the mark.

Why be embarrassed. The kid worked hard that season and it was a reward for it.
