I have a feeling that at the end of Moody, Walker, and Peterson's careers, it will br fair to say uga and ut missed on Moody.

The depth at linebacker is impressive though.

It truly is amazing when you consider that just two years ago, we had to start two freshmen at middle linebacker because our starters got hurt.

I think Moody might win the Mike spot. He looked good this year when he got on the field ... seemed to be able to get the defense lined up and in the right calls even more so than Moses.

I don’t follow UGA, but have UT friends/family. Peterson has had a rough go so far.

Is it fair to say T’oto will jump Moody if he decides to come here?

To somewhat echo Pastor Mike: I think To'oto'o has more ability, but he'd have a difficult learning curve to pick up the defense and be able to make the calls -- especially since he didn't get to go through spring practice.

Never say never, but based on what little I saw last year, I'd be very comfortable with Moody at Mike.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bama doesn't try real hard to battle tOSU for HT, especially if Moody and our young ILBs are doing well in spring practice.

After watching some highlights of practice I am very impressed with Deontae Lawson. He looks very legitimate for a guy just coming out of high school or should still be in high school. He is already running with the second team. Hopefully Kennedy ups his game soon. The competition at linebacker is insane. Will be even more exciting when Dallas Turner arrives next month.

SI write up on Moody:

After Waiting in the Wings for Three Seasons, Alabama LB Jaylen Moody's Patience is Now Paying Off

On Monday afternoon, Moody met with the media to discuss his breakout game against Arkansas last year and how he is primed for a huge role on the Crimson Tide's defense in 2021

Practice nugget:

There's a bit of a shift on the 2nd-team offensive line with Tommy Brockermeyer stepping in at left tackle and Amari Kight moving over to left guard. That means the 2nd-team O-line consisted of Brockermeyer, Kight, Darrian Dalcourt, Seth McLaughlin and JC Latham. Midway through the spring, both 5-star tackle signees are now working with the twos.

Seems like the staff sees Kight as part of the "next best 5" even if its not at tackle. Also looks like one of Latham/Brockemeyer will push for a starting spot, and the other will probably play the 6th man/swing tackle role.

Yeah, they are probably all gonna be in the NFL one day.

Don't forget about Kendall Randolph. I guess he's strictly working with the tight end group but is really a valuable asset in the running game.

I wouldn't bank on him passing up Moody, but I don't think he would have much trouble picking up the defense. Pruitt's defense is likely to be eerily similar to our defense.... minus the McDonald's bags.

If I had a choice between HTT and JTT I would choose JTT. I think that JTT is a better all around player and we would get three years out of him. HTT will likely go pro after 2021 and we are stacked at linebacker. Just my opinion though.
