That means the 2nd-team O-line consisted of Brockermeyer, Kight, Darrian Dalcourt, Seth McLaughlin and JC Latham

if Dalcourt is the #2 center who is running at #1 right Guard?

From page #506:

OL with injuries will get better over time. Starters did pretty good. The starters were LT Neal, LG Tommy Brown, C Owens, RG Cohen, RT George and TE Randolph. Second team was Kight, Bowles, Dalcourt, McLaughlin, Latham. Ferguson and Brockmeyer played too. OL group is very young but everyone has confidence in them. But DL is ahead!

Remember Emil Ekiyor is out this spring. I think it is pretty much a given barring something unforseen tht 3 of the OL starters will be Neal, Ekiyor, and Owens, with the next two coming from anyone who is in the 1st or 2nd team line this spring.

I agree and think the two others who win the starting job will make for a good OL. I am excited about the OL and working with a QB who can move outside the pocket.

we should be strong at TE and RB and a talented depth at WR

Cameron Latu is a very good player and will be an upgrade over Forristall in my opinion. Latu and Billingsley will be a very good duo. It should be interesting to see what happens with Pierce Quick once he comes back. I think that he could help out in a role like Kendall Randolph. JC Latham will end up starting at right tackle at some point. He's just too talented. Cohen looks like a really good player as well.

The last few years I have definitely been in the mobile dual threat qb camp, as most fans these days are. After watching Mac Jones operate last year, though, I've decided that a pro style qb with good pocket presence can still be a damn good thing.

Interesting tidbit i read today that had Keilan Robinson working with the WRs. Probably just getting him experience in a role like Najee had. But with his speed, it would be awesome to see a 2 back set at times with one of them motioning into a wr route. Would be hell on a defense to adjust to.

They do that now with a one back set. The motion allows the qb to see man or zone and it seeks to create a mismatch in space. Keilan definitely fits the bill for that role.

K. Robinson, I expect to see him spilt the time at RB/ WR. He'll be used as Slot WR, Motion RB, etc.

Saban sheds light on what new hire Drew Svoboda will do this spring (BOL)
quote:

Alabama officially hired Drew Svoboda as its special teams coordinator and tight ends coach Monday, which effectively filled out Nick Saban’s on-field coaching staff for the 2021 season.

Svoboda was added after Jay Graham resigned following the Crimson Tide’s second practice of the spring due to mental health issues. Following UA’s 10th spring practice Wednesday, Saban revealed what stood out about Svoboda’s background during the interview process.

“We’re really pleased with it,” Saban said of the hire. “He’s got a lot of connections. He knows a lot of people in Texas, which we thought was very, very important. He was the best teacher in the interview and he certainly hasn’t disappointed in his input that he’s had to this point.”

Svoboda arrives at Alabama after three years coaching special teams at Rice and one spring as the special teams coordinator at Memphis. He also spent one year as the running backs coach (2018) for the Owls and two years tutoring the fullbacks (2019-20). Prior to his stints in college, Svoboda was a successful head coach at Klein Collins High School in Spring, Texas.

Although he’s poised to coordinate special teams and coach tight ends this fall, Svoboda won’t be as hands-on this spring, Saban said Wednesday. Instead, the special assistant to the head coach, Todd Watson, will continue to lead special teams like he has most of the spring. “Todd Watson was really sort of the No. 1 intern on special teams, so he’s kind of running the special teams,” Saban said.

“It’s the first time I’ve ever had to hire a guy in the middle of spring practice, so we’re not gonna throw (Svoboda) out there in front of the players. He’s learning our system, he’s learning our scheme, he’s actually having input in the meetings but really can’t coach the players. And he’s really doing the same thing with the offense relative to the tight ends.

"We’re probably a lot more flexible now when it comes to coaches because last year we had guys in and out. I mean I think we had (four) full-time coaches out for the LSU game last year. We’re a little more flexible when things like this happen, and Todd has done a good job of stepping up and helping us get through the spring. I haven’t seen us really skip a beat from a special teams execution standpoint.”

Alabama will return to the practice field Friday, March 9, for its final tune-up before Saturday’s scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium, which will be the Tide’s second of the spring season.

That was usually Billingsley. He even carried it a couple of times I think. He's much more than a TE. His position is weapon.
