look at his record at OU. basically the exact opposite of auburn over that time span -- 11+ win seasons nearly every year with the occasional 8-5. sign me up.

This is dumb, man. Pappoe might end up being the best LB in Auburn history. Nix is a good QB. He hasn't been fired today or this past weekend, so it's not going to happen.

He really took a nosedive at OU in his later years.
OU finished in the top 6 in three of his last four years

Folks on PM's board are already watching flight tracker that have jets heading to Norman, Oklahoma

We are gonna have recruits every year that we will be at risk of losing. Its the nature of the game. FWIW i doubt Nix would leave if we did hire Stoops. He's put way more qbs in the league than gus

Pappoe is committed to T-Will not Gus. New coach could always retain T-Will and lock up Pappoe + a valuable coach

Firing Gus is likely a net positive to retaining Nix's commitment

I think stoops would be more likely to keep Nix then keeping Gus. Like I posted on another board, I wonder what Pat Nix's thoughts are on Gus and if he has let people know them.

I’m pretty sure Stoops is waiting to see if Urban falls out and dies on the sideline before he makes any moves...

I would love Stoops being hired. Instant clout with recruits. And we'd probably end up with Hasselwood too.

I would’ve loved stoops about 15/20 years ago... let’s try to hire the next bob stoops.

That and he isn’t going to make it known. That would look bad for his future employer. Lol
