Are you over-paying or under-paying your basketball coach?

These are numbers from last March.

1.) John Calipari, Kentucky: $4.2 million through 2018-19 *
2.) Billy Donovan, Florida: $3.5 million through 2015-16
3.) Mike Anderson, Arkansas: $2.2 million through 2017-18
4.) Kevin Stallings, Vanderbilt: $2.1 million through ??? **
5.) Anthony Grant, Alabama: $1.9 million through 2018-19 ***
Frank Martin, South Carolina: $1.9 million through 2016-17
7.) Mark Fox, Georgia: $1.7 million through 2015-16
8.) Frank Haith, Missouri: $1.6 million through 2015-16 ****
9.) Tony Barbee, Auburn: $1.5 million through 2016-17
10.) Cuonzo Martin, Tennessee: $1.3 million through 2015-16
Andy Kennedy, Ole Miss: $1.3 million through 2014-15 *****
12.) Johnny Jones, LSU: $1.1 million through 2016-17
13.) Billy Kennedy, Texas A&M: $1.0 million through 2015-16
Rick Ray, Mississippi State: $1.0 million through 2015-16

I think your Anthony Grant #'s are wrong. I think we are actually paying him over 2 mill.

All that oil money and SEC membership. TAMU should at least be fronting 2 million for a coach and some respectability. How much does TAMU pay Blair?

Looking at the list, I think Anderson is worth more than anybody behind him. We've got to start seeing return on our investment before long though. The team does seem to be coming around however.

I think Stallings is comparably correct. However, I think he's overpaid. Too many coaches get too paid too much, so it bumps his salary.

Jones isnt getting much and he hasnt produced much yet so all is good. HE must make the NCAAT by next season though.

I find it hard to believe 3.5mil a year is being underpaid, but I guess it is what the market is paying these days.

He is priceless (Billy), but I think what some coaches get paid is getting pretty ridiculous. There is a lot wrong with college sports, and letting kids being needy.

I think every BCS level college coach, and NFL coaches are grossly overpaid.

With that said,Cal is worth every dime he gets.
