Everyone else can integrate into Mizzou arena and of course the baseball stadium would stay up until new one is built.
It is not just for using events that they need their own space. Both wrestling and gymnastics require their own facilities for practice space as well as locker rooms etc. Indoor track obviously needs a larger space just to have a track and throwing space.

Burden was all that the year before, so where is the rationale for his big dropoff? Burden alone should be an NFL burden due to the lack of productivity. Same QB and scheme. Some kids get their money and mail it in. Scouts, for the most part, know what they're watching.
He was paid before the prior 2 years as well so that narritive is just not true. THe scheme and QB may have been the sm]ame OC and QB but watching every play this year the playcalling was arse all year. Cook regressed as a passer and ciuld not hit shite on deep passes all year. Cookk was gritty and played hard but struggled all year passing.

No the whole fricking team disappeated that day, Burden had a 70 or so yard TD called back in the 1st half. Thing with recievers is tto shine they need others to perform. THe whole team sucked that day for sure, Burden included. That game along with drop in production in the year hurt him. Brady Cook fricked him on production by being arse on any deep throws. He missed 5-6 TD's plus 100's of yards by missing wide open Burden downfield all year. The OC also hurt as the nonsensical use of Burden and the offensive playcalling overall was hot garbage.

Missouri State baseball is not as good as they once were but over the last 20+ years have been a superior program all around. Been to the World Series, knocked Arky out a few years ago in Baum.
re: Check in if you consider Arkansas a Rival
Posted by Tackle74 on 4/24/25 at 7:58 am
For Mizzou they are not our rival. Rivalries take time and they are a natural rival as they are close and have similar historical success as football programs. The games in football have not been the type of games to fuel a rivalry. South Carolina games have been more those type of games but nothing else besides having the same city name. As all know the only real rivlary is with kansas and to an extent Nebraska and Illinois.

Yes he was usurped but the hot poker story did not come about till centuries later and historians of the era say it is not proven. His death is a mystery but clearly was murdered and was in fact a shitty king

Problem in wrestling NIL is that Oklahoma State and Iowa are picking up all the big transfers. Iowa has to be money and exposure in the Big 10. Oklahoma State also has loads of cash plus they just got 2nd and they have the hot new coach in David Taylor. He was a WOrld Champion multiple times and all the kids growing up followed him. Good news is they have not been losing kids, minus Elam which has been expected for a long time.

Rocky was a 4x AA. He was out this year because of injury. Scuttlebutt was this has been expexcted for some time. Have heard with no confirmation that he has never been a team guy like say O'Toole. He came came in with immense talent but seems to have never took it to the next level. As for the team they are making no splah moves in the Portal and though the recruiting classes have been good the last few years besides Steed they have not shown much. Sinclair redshirted last year and should be the next stud, will have to see.

I watched it all, the Mizzou performance was like the season. Keegan lost a tough one but he never looked 100% coming off that knee injury. There is no shame in losing in the finals in OT. Steed did well going AA but other than those 2, major bummer of a performance. That Heavy final was insane as NO ONE thought Steveson could lose.

were able to close out the season properly or was the series canceled before they could wrap everything up?
yes they do a good job wrapping it up but left room for more seasons if they wanted them.

Longtime wrestling fan here and this is my take. Off last years team we lost Big Elam, Mauller, Mocco all were All Americans. As this year started returning 3 time All American Rocky Eam out with injury for the seasin. Noah Surtin 4x qualifier out for career. Add to that O'Toole 2x National Champion was out for almost 2 months (just returned Saturday). As well stud newcomer Steed at 165 was injured and like O'Toole just came back. Top 10 ranked Hawks has been out about a month at 184 (just returned). At 149 national qualifier Gioffre has been out and just returned. This has led to a roster of as many as 8 2nd string guys wrestling of the 10 spots. On top of that is the loss of all the studs from the past years being out and then their replacments being hurt as well. Their have been some disappointments for sure, Moore at 133 has not improved as mush as hoped for from last year. The last couple of classes have been highly ranked but except for Steed at 165 and flashes from 125 Walker have nit shown much yet. The big get last year Sinclair has looked good but they are redshirting him.
re: More Annoying, Pat McAfee or Stephen A Smith?
Posted by Tackle74 on 2/21/25 at 11:07 am
Smith is annoying when he spouts shite he knows nothing about like MMA for example, he is though at times correct on his takes. BUT..McAfee is a smug a-hole who tries way too hard and I just cannot stand him. Plus McAfee ruined Gameday.

Couple from pre SEC days in :
Gary Anderson
James Wilder cost Nebraska a national title kicking their arse in Lincoln and then beating LSU in the bowl game. Still leading rusher in Buccaneers history.
Henry Josey, leading rusher on the 2013 Mizzou team. Had to sit out over a year with a catastrophic knee injury vs Texas in 2011, thought he would never play again.

Dude George Rogers won a Heisman, only forgotten by those that never knew him. Those from the time remember him well.
