SEC MBB Records of the 4 most recent expansion teams

.533- Texas A&M (123-109)
.366- Missouri (87-151)
.333- Texas (8-16)
.292- Oklahoma (7-17)
Aggie basketball has been an unexpected bright spot… the other 3, not so much.
Genuinely impressed with what A&M has done. Since coming into the league in 2013, A&M is above .500 in conference play and ranks 6th in SEC Win% during the period. They are also just one of 7 programs to win an SEC title during that span of time.

Missouri went 3-4 absolutely horrific years at one point

Funny thing here is that we always heard the chirping about how the Big 12 was better in basketball than the SEC.

To be fair, the SEC got some of the worst Big 12 basketball teams lol.

Yeah, it’s been brutal for Mizzou, which is sad
considering we were always competitive in the Big 8 and Big12, and sometimes very good.
The administration does not seem serious about basketball.

A&M basketball is only going to get better from here. I love our new coach and his offense. Buzz could play defense really well, but it was frustrating to watch his offense on the court.

I mean, it is.
Especially this year.

Eh, there was a brief early 80s stint for Missouri, but always is a strong word.

We have been arse since Kruger retired. Hopefully we fire Moser this year.

We are going to have to play LSU at Death Valley and, with all the new talent LSU added through the TP and the new high-power offense LSU is installing and Lsu Dc returning, which features a top-20 defense, I'm low-key scared right now.
lmao I haven't watched a longhorn basketball game since TJ ford and the final 4.
When does baseball start?

Arkansas is 716-425 in all games since coming into the league. Conf record is 302-273 (I think)

Norfolk State killed Mizzou basketball.

The irony of all this is that when Moser and OU were in the Big XII... over a three year period they went 6-2 against the SEC... including a 25 point pasting of #1 Alabama in '23...
And none of Moser's three OU teams made the tournament because of how poorly they did in the Big XII.

Looking back, that certainly seemed to be the end, but a more likely causal relationship is the combined records of Kim Anderson and Cuonzo Martin (105-143).
