Caitlin Clark...It's an asinine push by people with an agenda.

Look, I know ESPN and the other liberal talking heads are trying to push this "she broke the NCAA record" talking point, but we all know that's garbage.
Yes, it's fun to troll LSU, I get it. But let's be real. There's no such thing as a shared record book between different sports. If little Timmy down at the local rec league hit 100 homers in a single season against other 13 year olds, no one would be proclaiming that he broke Barry Bonds' record.
It's an asinine push by people with an agenda.
Great, congrats Caitlyn. You own the women's record. That's honestly an amazing feat, and she should be proud. But she didn't break the men's record.
We all know that the 10th best player on any men's basketball team in the NCAA could suit up for any women's team next year and shatter her record by the end of the season. Conversely, put her on any men's team in the country, and she would never get off the bench. If some coach decided to start her to prove a point, her scoring average for the season would be maybe 2 points a game. Maybe.
It's not the same sport, she's not playing the same competitors, end of story.

We don't "all" know that. The record book contradicts all your presupposed beliefs.
*Pearl Moore - career points total — 4,061 points.
Caitlin Clark career points total - 3,685 points.
Highest scoring game:
*Pearl Moore - 60 points.
Caitlin Clark - 46 points.
Still the queen of women's basketball - Pearl Moore
* (no 3-point line)

It’d be a better argument if they even used the same ball, but they don’t.

LSU posters here have been saying for a year though that WBB is equal to CBB.

Actually she did. Now if you want to argue 3 years vs more, etc, that is fine. But she has scored more points than any other person in college basketball history, like it or not.
Some of you need something real to worry about in your lives if this triggers you so.

No one is saying she did. She broke the NCAA record. Pete still has the men's record.
Caitlin Clark now owns the NCAA record for points. She did it in an easier league, with a 3 point line, in more years. But she scored the most points in her career in basketball. Different leagues, same sport.

I first started lurking around here when it was announced Texas would move to the SEC. One of the more surprising things to me was the boasting & bragging here about women's sports. I can't get emotionally invested with men's college basketball and baseball, and women's sports don't even register with me, so I just don't get it. However, I am surprised that most of you guys don't care about Caitlin Clark.

Don’t you mean Braxton, Jaxon, or Bralalia?

Truthfully I feel better about the talk around her "breaking it" then I did when that scrub from Dallas Mercy got close. Caitlin can fricking play and is a legend in her sport.... that dude just played for a long time against community college opponents.

My agenda was only sticking it to LSU fans

Originally I thought the comparisons were lame and lazy. But after seeing how many butt hurt men cried about it on here, I have to take my hat off to them and congrats them on a well played troll.

When the men break all-time records in college do they always use the word men or do they just say all-time record?
