Anyone betting an entire season on a true freshman QB is retarded.
Average QB play and BK is probably still the coach.

The end of the Miles era was exactly like this season under Kelly. Crap play on the field followed by a presser telling us everything was fine and our eyes were deceiving us.

He's mentally broken and shouldn't play again for LSU. His chronic backing up on any drop back, running in to sacks and inability to step up in to a clean pocket, coupled with his complete failure to make correct reads should relegate hm to clipboard duty for the rest of the season.

I don't think anyone was seriously campaigning for Frank.

Then you haven't been paying attention. There have been dozens of 'what if frank wins out?' threads and many people think/thought he should be given a chance if the team plays well. It's like everyone forgot the name Ed Orgeron.

that 3rd down play right before half where he had all day to throw and as the Gump color guy pointed out - there were two guys running wide open he inexplicably did not see - encapsulated what this year has been for him.
Nussmeier's play summed up in a gif.
quote:

No he really isn’t. Our running backs suck and they’re too light in the loafers for SEC play. Berry would have been a change of pace back a la Richard Murphy on a Les Miles team.

The regression of our running backs isn't talked about enough. Jackson, Durham both have regressed and everybody looks slow. His rotations make zero sense. He's a great recruiter, make him recruiting coordinator or something like that, but his coaching ability is a huge question mark.
We matched up well with Alabama's offense. Baker has struggled with running QBs and has shown little ability to adjust to stop them, in games and from game to game. I don't think he's the answer.
I imagine one version of hell is sitting between Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro on a long haul flight while they argue with each other from wheels up to wheels down.

The happy emotion is that I’ve been sober for 4 years today

Congratulations, this is an incredible achievement. I was going to add the cheers emoji but seems inappropriate given the context.
He's a true freshman guard playing left tackle in the SEC being coached by someone who has no idea what he's doing. I'm good with cutting the kid some slack.
Green has looked really good in exactly one game. In all the others he's looked awkward, like a basketball player playing football, and not like Jimmy Graham.

I was expecting late first half when he threw the ball away instead of taking the sack.

That play was THE backbreaker for LSU.
In the NIL era, I do think it's easier to quickly turn a team around. But we have to have the right coach. I don't have a lot of confidence in that happening given how it's played out so far.

When your QB produces more tears than TDs, you're in trouble.

Wisdom right here.
We don't have a quality QB on the roster. How does that happen?
His play at the end of the first half was arguably the difference in the game. He has all day, doesn't make an open throw, and throws an incomplete pass, stopping the clock when Bama had no time outs. Instead of going into the half down 10-3 and getting the ball first, you're down 17-3. This is your fifth year, pre-season Heisman, $1 million NIL, starting QB.

That's a shame given all the time he spent at halftime fixing his makeup.
Nussmeier holding the ball then throwing an incompletion right before the end of the half was the back breaker. Alabama doesn't score there it's 10-6 with LSU getting the ball first in the second half. We moved the ball all game and the defense has played well.
