'92 UGA game in Auburn. We got fricking hosed by the refs and I'm still pissed about it.

He obviously didn’t word that well, but UGA gets two more throws at the end zone if the deflected pass just heads straight to the ground rather than ending up in the hands of a falling-down Chris Conley.
To act like that play had no impact on the result requires stupidity of immense proportions.
There were a lot of determining factors in the game. The interception they didn't call on the last drive was one. Frankly, CJ Mosely tipping the ball was a great play. Defenses are allowed to decide games too.

Couldn't agree more. I was furious for a week after this game. T-bob Hebert did the greatest thing he ever did in an LSU uniform by snapping the ball even though no one was looking. T-bob freaking Hebert. Good lord.
It didn't help that the next day the Saints had a similarly derpy win against Carolina where they fumbled on a 90 yard opening drive, again 2 drives later, punted like 8 times, somehow still gained almost 400 yards, and only won 16-14.

I wasn’t mad. Just totally devastated. Same with the prayer at Jordan Hare. I was left numb wondering how we lost those games.

and also....1:35 to play, 3rd and 8 at the Bama 36-yard line. that fricking screen pass vs Auburn in 97

2010 Iron Bowl. Looked so dominant in the first half and shite the bed in the second.
2013 Iron Bowl. Played like shite the whole game and it cost us. Then there's the whole kick 6 thing.
2022 TSIO. The refs were on the take or had bet on the game. Worst officiating I've ever seen.
Countless games under Shula in 2006. We were a soggy shite sandwich.

Again, this thread isn't about if Bama should have won. The deflection was a great play and Bama won and deserved to win.
But losing because you don't have enough time to run another play creates anger and frustration. In my experience, having possession in the red zone and not having time to get a play off is as frustrating and anger inducing a way to lose a game as you can get.
It's because your team didn't get stopped, you instead just ran out of time.
Bama in 2012 was the worst example of that but it wasn't the only one. Against WVU in the Sugar Bowl in the 2005 season, there was no doubt in anyone's mind that once UGA got the ball back they would score at the end of that game. DJ Shockley was on fire. UGA got WVU to 4th and 5 with a couple minutes to go.
And they ran a fake punt to get the first down and then ran out the clock.
Did WVU earn the win? Absolutely. That play call was genius by Rich Rod because he knew UGA would score if they got the ball back too.
But it's frustrating as hell to not have the time to get the win when you feel certain your team had the ability if they just had a bit of clock to work with.

2012 NC is easy for LSU fans so I’ll go 2012 regular season against Bama. We deserved that win and they stole it at the end. LSU would have won the title that year

UGA loses to South Carolina 21-10 in 2000.
Quincy Carter threw 5 interceptions.
The loss for South Carolina broke an 18 game conference losing streak that spanned 3 seasons.
Of course, the rumor mill and newly invented internet went crazy after the game. Everything from cocaine to fixing scores.
You don't see a lot of 5 interception games from an upperclassman.

Any game during the Matt Luke era, win or lose
2009 South Carolina where Eric Norwood ate Bradley Sowell’s lunch all night long was pretty bad too. Especially after the game when one of our dipshit players said they were kind of glad we lost because the pressure of being in the top 5 was too much for them. I started hating Houston Nutt that night

Every game coached by Dooley, Jones, & Pruitt except for the hail Mary at GA and the Josh Dobbs / Jennings beat down of the gaterds.

We simply call it the "Blitz and the Screen."
And you still had more time on the clock after BAMA scored than it took for ALABAMA to go the length of the field with no timeouts. Our defense just wouldn't let you do it.

"the push" - Nov 18 2000 -
non-call OPI on a 50 yard play with 10 seconds to play to set up a 25 yd FG for the home team who was trailing 14-13 -
Andre Goodman was running step-for-step in perfect defensive coverage for Carolina and would have likely intercepted the desperate heave until Gardner pushed off to create separation - we were on the 20 yard line about half-way up opposite the play and saw it clearly - referee was on top of the action and ate the flag on the home sideline after starting to reach for it to throw -
that's the last game I've ever attended at the shithole Cow Pasture and still don't talk to two orangeneck cousins we had to sit beside that night - two brothers who exemplify the repugnance & arrogance of the laughable clemshit gentleman moniker in every aspect -
the brawl on that field actually came 4 seasons late - it should've happened immediately after that bullshite non-call / play which stole that win from Holtz/Carolina -
honorable mention - 11/1/86 - Gamecocks in Raleigh at NCSU - another absolute hose job on USC -

1/9/12 - I don’t know if I was angry or in complete confusion over the gameplan and what I witnessed. I wanted miles gone the next morning.
Jordan Jefferson was not a good QB and was in effect playing an NFL caliber defense (just as LSU that year had an NFL level defense as shown by the future NFL draft results).
Wasn’t really fair to expect much in the way of offensive efficiency after the first matchup IMO.
That said, Les Miles was a terrible offensive coach and cost you multiple NCs IMO.

That's a great one. I remember watching it on TV at a big party and everyone went ballistic over that call. Even more infuriating was that dumbass Clemson fans don't think that it was a push off.

the Auburn game you mentioned was the most agonizing I think I've endured from start to finish ... 60 minutes of pure torture to watch a USC team absolutely shite away a game against at team they should've wiped off the map that day -
Vanderbilt 2006 a close runner-up -
