South Carolina vs. Auburn - 2011

South Carolina was 4-0 and ranked #10 in the country.
Auburn was 3-1 and unranked.
A low scoring, defensive struggle all game long. Auburn throws a 9-yard pass to Phillip Lutzenkirchen (RIP) with 1:38 left in the game to go up 15-13. South Carolina drove it to Auburn's 29-yard line but could not do anything before time expired and lost 16-13.

South Carolina finished 11-2 (6-2) that season with this loss costing them the SEC East. Georgia finished 10-4 (7-1) that season with their only SEC loss to South Carolina. Auburn finished 8-5 (4-4) that season which made it all the more frustrating.

Penn St game in '83 where they called Preston Gothard out of bounds on around the last play when he clearly scored.

I'm not sure if angry is the right word, but the SEC championship against Bama in 2012 left me incredibly frustrated.

Sometimes UGA wins and sometimes UGA loses... but it that game it felt like UGA would have won if we just had a few more seconds of clock to work with. Running out of time is the worst way to lose a game, particularly one that cost UGA a spot in the BCS championship game and likely a national title (as I don't think UGA would have struggled with Notre Dame).

How much time do you get? Just enough to score and head to the dressing room? I guess. But the truth is, BAMA ran the ball for a thousand yards in that game and no one was stopping Amari Cooper.

And I'm still convinced that BAMA intercepted Aaron Murray on that last drive.

1/9/12 - I don’t know if I was angry or in complete confusion over the gameplan and what I witnessed. I wanted miles gone the next morning.

The most pissed I’ve been after a win was the 2010 LSU / Tenneessee game. Should have gone down as one of the worst losses in the miles era, but Dooley managed to out derp him.

Les Miles' clock management at the end of games always left me scratching my head.

He obviously didn’t word that well, but UGA gets two more throws at the end zone if the deflected pass just heads straight to the ground rather than ending up in the hands of a falling-down Chris Conley.

To act like that play had no impact on the result requires stupidity of immense proportions.

As soon as the receiver was down Spurrier called timeout to kick a field goal. The refs refused to review the spot or the clock. SC should have been able to attempt a field goal at this point.

And before any Aubies chime in, this was WAY more clear cut than the Kick 6 review...

Yes, I'm still bitter about it 13 years later...

Stephen Garcia found Bruce Ellington for 12 yards and the first down as the seconds ticked away, and it appeared the South Carolina wide receiver was down with one second to go. However, the Gamecocks never got a chance to attempt a long game-tying field goal and the clock struck zero on the play. Despite head coach Steve Spurrier's protests, the play was not reviewed, giving Auburn the three-point win.

What year was it that we were up by 25 at half time, over Tennessee, in Tiger Stadium, and wound up losing? SMH

Southern Miss game, 2000. Shut out at home 21-0. By far the ugliest game I've ever seen. Never heard so many people cussing (myself included) before.

I was a student at SC at the time and I was LIVID. Shouldn't have even come down to that play. SC played terrible all day long. Super frustrating.

10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes. Take your pick.

Bama had 160 yards passing with a pick. As long as they had to throw the ball to win instead of having time to run the ball, it really wouldn't matter how much time they had left after UGA scored.

1999 Georgia Tech game where Jasper Sanks dropped the ball after he was already down but it was called a fumble. We lost in OT.

1998 Tech game when Joe Hamilton clearly fumbled the ball but was called out of bounds on their game winning drive.

Haha that one sucked too. I knew SC was shitty last year though, so it didn't piss me off quite as much.
