For context, as of today we would be #14 and play #11 Tennessee, then #6 Florida, then #3 Texas. The tournament design gives a bye to #6 and a double bye to #3 so we would be facing all 3 with fresh pitching.

I think some of Yeskie's problems this year and early last year are/were tied to poor catching. The pitchers and catchers help each other out by hitting spots and framing pitches. Passed balls beget wild pitches, wild pitches beget passed balls. If either side were a little bit better, I think there would be a large difference overall. Last season we had issues early on and as the catchers rounded into form, the pitchers started succeeding more often in leverage spots.
