Don't be so sure. Since they've equalized all conferences via the portal and NIL, the SEC has slipped.
Colorafo has proven this. Deion turned them around fast. We may not be a match for the SEC at the moment but we are growing stronger.

I disagree. I think they know where they are going and it’s not the Big 10.

They won’t. The top 30-35 programs will set up their own super/semi pro league and leave the rest of us to these normal geographical conferences. This will be good for all sports not named football too. Frankly I think this would be best for everyone. The big guys do their thing and the rest of can be really competitive.

Why do folks keep thinking ACC is getting carved up?

Look at the viewership data, it is a two team conference: FSU and Clemson get National views, everyone else is collectively is below the Big12 and old Pac12 (minus the 4 the B1G took). The Big 12 added Utah and collectively the worst three P5 in Colorado and AZ schools, but any of those schools likely come back with positive seasons.

CFB dominates now but the Big East had the best media deal and it was a basketball conference. ACC covers all the sports, year round, and they move quietly when it comes to realignment. Notre Dame is already in (sans CFB) and will not be surprised to see them go all in with Stanford going the fold.

According to several Big 12 message boards the Big 12 is planning on separating its basketball and football media rights. Different numbers have been floating around about how much basketball by itself is worth but they believe it will bring between 1/2 to 2/3's of the value of football.

UC? Their resume really popped when they LOST to Miami(OH)

In football, Big 12 post 2023 is on the G5 level at best.

ESPN is also to blame as they gave ACC a ridiculous deal to force conference change

You're blaming ESPN for a ridiculous deal the ACC ACCEPTED???

Some Mens Basketballs schools are worth more than football schools.

Football = no NCAA takeout
Basketball = hefty NCAA takeout

Kentucky has biggest value due to old radio ties that get them broadcast around the world

North Carolina is #2

Indiana is #3 (even with down win totals since Bobby)

The Big 12 without OU is basically a group of 5 conference.

Fixed it for you. The last decade, Texas has been weaker than TCU, Bayor, KState, and arguably Iowa St.

What is the value of UK if you had to guess?

What would you value the Big 12 and SEC in your opinion?

The big 10 and SEC can break away we certainly do not need the middling 12

This is message board knee-jerk 101. He's had two games so far, and should have lost one.

Pittman won 9 games at Arkansas in year 2, after bringing us from the depths of football hell following the Chad Morris debacle. Look what we have now......we may go 4-8 this year.

Sometimes a quick turnaround is fools gold.

Right now the Big 12 is worth about 30 million dollars less per team than the SEC. The SEC will land a huge deal with ESPN on the next go around and the Big 10 will do the same with Fox.

As we saw with the Pac 12, ESPN is not going to sign large contracts with anyone but the SEC. The Big 12 and ACC (minus FSU, NC, Miami, Duke and Clemson) will be reduced to "streaming" contracts this next go round as the SEC and Big 10 will get the lionshare.

This will facilitate the Big 10 and SEC to leave the NCAA and for ESPN and Fox to control major bowl programming and an Inivitational Basketball Tournament.

People sure are going overboard because this clown has strung 3 wins together. In a few weeks people won’t be talking about Colorado. Might be laughing at them though

If UK could get the money instead of the NCCA, about a decade ago it was equal to or better than Bama football. Cals contract used to be tied to Saban. Not sure about post c19. Host Communication (before it became IMG College) held UK radio media which went out all over the world on the mega watt towers. Used to play a home game in Cincinnati every year and a home game in Louisville.

Big 12 was #2 before the first realignment, B1G had more eyeballs but early B12 was solid with lots of value tied to big state schools with lots of living alumni. Bearcats were solid and should have been P6 type school but BuckNuts always cut them as they did not want the competition. Ohio is big population state and BuckNuts never had to share it with another power school. Part of my dislike for BuckNuts goes back to haw they have kept bearcats down since WW II.

I really think Utx (via SWC and B12) was never good for any conference but by now the big state schools are elsewhere (TAMU, MU, UNL) so settling for #2's put them in a bad start now. Look at just football in an old SWC + Big 8 view.

#1 Oklahoma
#2 Nebraska
#3 Utx
#4 Arkansas

Lots of good supporting schools, no wonder the B1G wanted to break them and the SEC.

It is hard to believe UK basketball is that popular but I cannot dispute it because they do have a huge following.

Ohio State always is playing politics with state schools. They make it hard to like them. They sued Ohio U over the name Ohio.

Having no bluebloods is exciting. All members will be even or close to even.
