I know. For now.

Still putting that out there, bc if we end up stuck with our 7th choice and it’s him I’ll still do it
If this is true, and I don’t think it is and pray it isn’t, I’ll burn every piece of Arkansas gear I have.

Silverfield is a soft arse bitch
Agree. Bobby is better than all but about 3 of the names I’ve seen mentioned. He won’t get the job but he probably should and I’ll die on the hill that he’d be successful here in a second stint. But I digress

They’ve been right about things before. Doesn’t mean they will be this time. I just find it odd that they don’t even mention Gruden at all if he’s truly on the short list

I’m hearing Gruden is very much in play. No shite

Asinine. I haven’t heard him on any of the short lists from other “insiders.”

List appears to be:

Franklin

Fleck
Kingsbury
Will Stein

Golesh

So it will probably be none of those

Lots and lots of smoke around Franklin being the guy.

So I feel 100% confident in saying that it will not be Franklin

I’d definitely be for Franklin, but it won’t happen bc we’re here talking about it.

When’s the last time you heard rumors of coaches weeks before the hire was made, and it turned out to be that coach? It’s always someone we don’t hear about until 30 mins before the press conference is announced

Thank you for proving my point.

lol I didn’t prove anything except that it was a bad comparison. But you can wake up every morning with a stiffy now, bc Bobby isn’t gonna be the coach.

Hope the coach we get is half as good as Bobby, though I highly doubt that will be the case. We’ll end up with some mid major coach that’ll go 3-9, 5-7, 6-6, 4-8 then get fired. Rinse and repeat.

Remember when everyone was thrilled when Mike Tyson made a comeback against one of the Paul brothers? Yeah, Tyson is a horrible human being and deserves to be dumped in the garbage of history but it is Mike Tyson! He's going to murder that kid! It will be like the Tyson of old! Tyson boxed like he was on a massive dose of Xanax and lost to a bum who would have been carved up like a turkey by any decent fighter. And it wasn't the first time that had happened. Tyson had a string of fights of losing to bums going into this. But we wanted to believe in him.

I’m sorry but that’s a horrible comparison. Anybody with eyes could see that Mike was pulling punches against that kid to keep his payday. In a boxing street match he’d kill that kid. But that’s doesn’t mean much either since he’s probably twice his size.

Our biggest booster involved wants Franklin still.

Well Franklin has about 7 other jobs ahead of us on his list, I can assure you.

Gonna have to take a shot on a nobody and pray we get the next Saban. What’s the likelihood of that, I wonder?

Late thread bump, but I visited my grandmother this week and I was wrong that she worked at Erma’s…she worked at the Glenwood cafe in the 50s and 60s.

But, she bragged a lot on Erma’s cooking and said she thinks she knows who your mother is, would her name start with an ‘M’?

I will. Hire silverfield.

I mean, at this point, I’m actually pulling for Silverfield to get hired. I can’t think of a worse coach to get, maybe he will actually finish the program off completely

Franklin Gruden Golesh Fleck Dillingham

That’s a lot of names.

Franklin would be good for us considering. We’d be back to middle of the pack SEC pretty quick.

Gruden is a pipe dream.

Golesh will be called elsewhere first I think.

Fleck is most likely imo. He’s a “meh” hire to me. Will get us back to respectable probably but will never get us over the hump and solidly into the top tier of the SEC. Row your boat and all.

Dilly is probably the best coach listed. Just don’t have confidence we can get him with all the other openings. I’d be cautiously excited if we did though. He’s a wildcard, which we need.

I’m also the one that got Briles fired btw. Believe it or not. But the traces come back to me.

Yeah. This is a retarded flex. Briles was actually a decent OC. He made KJ a serviceable QB. Was able to utilize talent with what we had on the field. Made Burks a huge weapon. Getting him fired, if you actually did, was a dumb move

Last year was the time to fire Pittboss. Not now.

Yeah we know. Thanks.

Yellawood shoulda fired Hugh Janus last year too

It’s okay, you don’t have to.

Certainly. Just my opinion. Just wasn’t impressed with them from our game. Should’ve been a rout but was close the whole way.

I think you need to look at that game a bit differently. For once, we (Arky) had zero turnovers. Our offense was pretty much flawless. The game was in Fayetteville and we were pretty hyped thinking we might have a chance. A&M took our very best and still came out on top. I have no problem believing the Aggies deserve their ranking.

Again, they’re 3 points better than a team that lost by 40 to Notre Dame? Top 15 sure, but top 3? Just can’t see it.

But if you get the right people in the athletic department, good things can happen. It would be a job, but not an insurmountable job to accomplish.

Correct. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before. But then again, the landscape of CFB has changed tremendously since we were a consistent Top 25 team. Just means there is way less margin for error

The Stephens brothers are absolute pricks IMO. Doesn’t mean anything to anyone else but that’s my opinion. So basically I’m saying this doesn’t surprise me
