Arkansas, LSU, Mizzou and Auburn fans seem to be really happy with their schedules.

Alabama is happy they get the bottom feeders of the East because that's what has made Georgia so great.

Georgia fans are happy because it's a lot of great games, though some complain that they made it too easy for other teams in the elite tier.

Some A&M fans are upset that Texas got to host UGA before they did. Others looked on the bright side and said it would be better to play them on a neutral field in Atlanta. Most like their schedule but felt the Longhorns got off with a lighter one.

South Carolina fans no longer consider Georgia a rival and are okay that the Georgia game is not on the schedule.

Some Auburn fans are hopeful that Georgia will be dropped from their future schedules as an annual opponent.

Alabama fans don't consider a team they've played for over three decades annually, played the Game of the Century against, has been arguably the biggest thorn in their side since Saban has rejoined the conference, has almost always been CBS' primetime matchup, and was the previous school of the GOAT before he left the conference, a rival.

Some Tennessee fans are hopeful Alabama or Georgia will be dropped from their future schedule and would be okay if both get a break from having to play Tennessee.

Some Florida fans are worried their coach won't make it through 2025 with addition of Texas and OU.

A couple of Kentucky fans who evidently follow basketball more closely than football noticed that we must be doing away with divisions next season.

Hail State fans are happy Bama and LSU are off their schedule for a year, but also wonder how LSU ended up with an easier schedule.

Alabama, UGA, MSU, Tennessee, and Florida should be on our schedule every year.

SEC has gotten too big to preserve anything I guess.

Not at all. We're upset about losing LSU and the SEC's refusal to give us Florida and Tennessee again. Nobody is considering the UGA game at risk of losing.

I know exactly zero Auburn fans that feel this way.

Still not a rival. Will never be a Tennessee or Auburn. Ever.

bullshite. No Auburn fans are saying that.

As a matter of fact, the conversation has been to let us do back to back trips to Athens soon to get even for UGA's back to back trips to AU during the last expansion so we don't have such a suck home schedule every other year.

Actually I hate that UGA is not on the schedule. I thought we would get at least one of UGA, Tenn. or Florida. Not having any of them sucks but otherwise we got a good schedule. And hopefully it's only one year without any of those three.

Bama and LSU are clearly rivals.

I don't believe this for a second. Auburn got the shaft with their schedule. They get to play South Carolina, Kentucky, and Missouri, with whom they have little history with, rather than traditional rivals Florida, Tennessee, and LSU. It's a damn shame.

I don't believe any Tennessee fans want Bama off of their schedule.

Now this might be true.

It's definitely odd not having UGA on the schedule. I honestly think that SC should have gotten UGA, Florida, or Tennessee instead of Missouri or A&M... but our schedule would have been brutal at that point. Pretty cool seeing LSU and Ole Miss coming to Columbia though. I'll definitely be making the trip to Norman, OK as well.

We've played LSU annually since the early 1960s. If you are writing a novel at least get it right.

As someone over the age of 50...I couldn't care less if Tennessee plays Georgia or not. Hell, they only played each other:

4 times in the '80s
3 times in the '70s
2 times in the '60s
0 times in the '50s
0 times in the '40s
2 times in the '30s
4 times in the 1920s
1 times in the 1910s
5 times in the 1900s
1 time in the 1800s

Tennessee vs Georgia wasn't really a thing until the contrived regional rivalries were developed after creating conference divisions in the early 1990s.

On the other hand...I would be pissed to lose the TSIO.

ETA...grammatical correction to try to convince people that English is my first language, rather than Appalachian.

I consider them a rival. But I wouldn’t say they have been the biggest thorn on our side. That would be Auburn.

1. The game being big has only happened recently. LSU-Bama was basically Ole miss. LSU fans will tell you they've always been elite but they haven't. They are a Johnny come lately. Also, it was a big deal to LSU fans that Saban was at Bama and CBS played that up to several billion dollars to their credit.
2. It's not an instate or border war. No matter how many times UGA plays say, A&M or what the stakes are it will never be what the Florida game is. When you go to Baton Rouge their fans will literally pay anything to get into the Bama game. If I go to Baton Rouge with a hundred dollar ticket and I get offered 800 for it. I'm watching it at the hotel which I have done many times.
3. Game of the century- There have been like 15 of these all over the country. It's an overused term that is used to get sponsors.
4. Auburn and UT are too much in the fabric and have been for too long.

Havne't heard one Auburn fan say this

quote:

Some Tennessee fans are hopeful Alabama or Georgia will be dropped from their future schedule and would be okay if both get a break from having to play Tennessee.

Haven't see UT fans say this

quote:

Alabama is happy they get the bottom feeders of the East because that's what has made Georgia so great.

Haven't seen this said but there would be some validity to it. Playing Vandy, UK, Mizzou, South Car every year is a huge break. That being said, it's not UGA's fault they generally suck.

I didnt read through the others so I don't know if this is a troll thread, but assuming its not...your take on SC is just wrong. A lot of us want UGA/UT/UF

No we're not or at least I'm not. our schedule is a Big 12 matchup with a few SEC east teams thrown in there. It blows!

You nailed A&M

Now that the schedule is know it appears a lot of our fans are only talking about what week the Texas game will be played. It’s going to get annoying. Hope the final dates happen sooner than later.
