Sylvester Croom's nephew, a police officer was shot and killed last night.

He answered a call to a domestic violence and was shot and killed. Also killed was a woman who is believed to be the killers girlfriend. Big man hunt going on all evening.

Happened In Meridian, not Newton. 51st Ave. The blue alert was saying he was spotted around Newton. The officer killed was MPD. I was not aware that was Croom's nephew.

Good luck in jail if this is true. The guards will hate you for killing a cop, and the prisoners will hate you for being a cop. Cannot think of a worse position to be in going to prison.

Tragic. Fortunately there won’t be any marches, riots, looting, etc. After all, he was only a cop. Sad state of affairs. Prayers for the family of another good cop gunned down.

Kid diddler. I've heard horrendous stories about the things that are done to those people. It warms my heart though because awful things should happen to kid diddlers.

Yikes. Really hate to hear that. So many of these calls that cops go on are domestic calls and they can turn scary very quickly.

It's true. He shot and killed his pregnant wife as well.
