I’ve seen some chatter on Twitter not liking him. And people IRL have repeated that the fanbase doesn’t like him.

Where is this coming from? From what I’ve seen, most people still like him. I definitely still like him. I don’t really know why you’d let one stupid foul turn you against a player.

What’s your opinion of him and what do you think the fanbase as a whole thinks of him?

Love him. Yeah he does some dumb stuff and should dial back on the blatant elbows, but he mentally fricked with a ton of teams this year.

CBM is probably already in my top 10 favorite players of the Pearl era. Would love to see him come back another year. He does so many things well and he brought a certain edge to the team.

He does really dumb shite but he’s a good player. Guarantee he continues to do dumb shite next season.

Rodmanesque. He’s a player you either absolutely love or absolutely hate. He’s very skilled. Rangy and can shoot the 3. It’s my opinion that he makes Auburn basketball better. That’s all I care about unless he’s doing some shady shite on campus. On the court antics are a part of his game he would lose his edge if you tried to tone it down. Just have to take the good with the bad.

He played great most of the season.

He allowed himself to get tossed at a crucial point of the season.
This may have cost us an extra game or two.

He probably was the best non-post player on this team.

I hate that he got baited so easily. Shows a lack of discipline. Maybe he can learn from it.

He may be a great guy but he comes across as a street player. Nothing wrong with having a little attitude, Im sure all of us can relate.

But, he has been around for a while in college basketball, he should have learned to control himself. Doing what he did, when he did it, is almost inexcusable. Its not like he is some kind of first year player

As far as skillset, he is probably the best player on the team. His skills translate better to the NBA than anyone else we have at the moment. He's hotheaded. I'm sure Yale knew that and baited him into that silly foul. You'd think he would know better by now. But I love his energy and passion. Hopefully he learns how to harness it going forward but I want him back next year.

He’s a great player and super fun to watch. He makes stuff happen on the court and I hope he cones back. Kid made a mistake. It happens. Got nothing but love for CBM.

Got the team going when needed and seemed to be able to do something to spur the offense when it was sputtering. What he did what dumb for sure, but was extremely weak to be thrown out of the game. I haven't heard anything about him leaving, but I really hope he doesn't.

He's athletic, talented, energetic but he has trouble keeping his head straight at times. I hope he stays but let's not kid ourselves, he loves the head games.

Not sure if anybody remembers but first game of the season against Baylor he was whistled for a flagrant within 2 minutes of entering the game for...throwing an elbow.

I hope he can reign in his mental game but some guys just have trouble with it. I'm cheering for him.

Very entertaining and talented and I think he brings a lot to the game. He seems determined to be the "enforcer" and that often leads to his problems.

Cost us the first round game this year with his stupidity.

So... by that logic.. CBM is the entire difference between winning and losing? Sounds like a pretty dang important and good player.

I like him too, but getting kicked out of NCAA tournament game is dumbass thing to do. I don't like all the shite talk and antics. Said it before a few times.

Also said that stuff was gonna bite us in the arse. It did. I blame Pearl as much as CBM for getting ejected. He let that shite continue.. it actually got worse and worse as the year went on.. Baker used to not do that stuff earlier in the year. He got around KD and Broome and started doing it. Yeah, there's some room for that stuff, but we do it way too much.

Nothing like seeing one of our players score on somebody and they do that stupid little hand thing showing how "small" they are, then 8 seconds later that same player score on them at the other end. Yeah, way to look cool...

When was the last time a player got ejected in the tournament?

I will say Pearl's teams are so fun to watch though. We play exciting basketball without all the antics.

He is. I put him at about our 3rd best player for the year.

I'd put him at the #2 best player during the SEC Tournament behind Broome. Baker was playing some his best ball of the year.

Yeah, him going out hurt us bad. That's why he shouldn't be doing anything to get kicked out of the game, especially during the first 3 minutes.

Actually, some of you said he did great about getting under opponents' skin. Looks like that Yale player got under his pretty good. Caused him to get ejected.

And then the program just offers up excuses and no accountability.

I’ve seen plenty of accountability on it. I agree that CBM went too far and made a dumb decision. Bruce and Steven made similar comments. I hope he comes back next year and can rein it in just a touch on the emotions

Me too. I like Baker. Dude is clutch and plays with 100% effort.

I know what happened sucked for him, hopefully he uses it as a learning experience.

How did they make him accountable? I don't even know how you punish a player for this situation. Make him run laps??

If he comes back he could be a liability for the team. The refs will be watching his every move, Heck they key on us now. I’m on the fence, but Bruce knows best.
