What’s the core issue with Auburn football?

We are a top 14 team in all-time wins. We have 3 Heisman winners and enough championships to matter.

We’re on our 4th coach since 2020 with a 37-44 win:loss record during that same period. Firing coaches clearly isn’t the answer.

What is the issue with the program and how can it be addressed?

We stopped recruiting both lines. It is really that simple. Chiz was crazy about both. Champ for the DL when he was here. Outside of that, Gus, Harsin, Freeze and Golesh have failed at it. Tubs and Dye understood that too.

I asked AI and it said bad management from the top down. Too much booster interference. Too much pressure from UGA and Bama, which makes it unattractive for coaches.

The AD has been run by retards for years. The 2 good decisions were hiring Bruce and investing in the Golf teams practice facility.

The bad ones were hiring Greene, Cohen and Steven Pearl. The first two led to some of,the worst FB hires in AU history.

I don’t know but I wish someone would figure it out. I’m sick of having to eat shite from every SEC fan base besides Arkansas.

AI just read message boards and formed an opinion on the generic talking points.

But why is that an issue? That is key and has to be drilled down on. I see a lot of players across college football that look really good that have worn an Auburn uniform.

You can't form your own opinion based on what you've seen? You need fricking AI to answer for you?

I disagree about the DL. We always had a very good dline while Gus was here. It’s what kept us in a lot of games. Rodney Garner can recruit and develop a dline as good as anyone see Tennessee.

I apologize if you’re referencing the language. It was a poor choice of words. I shouldn’t have used the language. I don’t apologize for the sentiment. I’m sick of being a bottom feeder.

1.Consistent failure to adequately recruit and develop contributors on the LoS, a problem that has persisted on OL for many, many years.

2. Lack of on-field discipline- too many MA’s and penalties…. Consistently year after year.

3. Glaring need for improved roster management - need for improved talent targeting

Even an average chef can produce a great meal from quality ingredients….

2013 convinced some powerful booster(s) that we'd never be competitive for the top players in conference so we'd solve that problem with "do more with less" schemes and that's been every coach we've hired save Harsin, who just didn't give a crap. We need to get back to foundational football and leave the G6 schemes to the Sunbelt teams.

2013 starting o-line

LT Greg Robinson
LG Alex Kozan
C Reese Dismukes
RG Chad Slade
RT Patrick Miller

Name a better group since then.

Some how we ended up with Hugh Freeze over Lane Kiffin.

Probably booster X : He's got too much Bama in him. Besides Hugh is cheaper.

Bad hires as AD and HC. Greene had no plan to replace Gus and made a bad hire. Cohen couldn't close the deal with kiffin and settled for freeze to save face. Thr jury is still out on golesh but again Cohen couldn't close the deal with his first choice and had to pivot to a plan b.

If this basketball season doesn't bring me some joy I'm probably going to take a break from my fandom for a while.
