Why shouldn't I expect this?

You should expect it as the absolute floor.

Any Auburn "man" who disagrees should have his balls checked. So he should call his wife and ask her to take his balls out of her purse and drop them off at the doctor's office for a quick examination.

The payback tour starts September 5, 2026 and runs through the end of the year. :wareagle:

Dates have not been released yet.

I found this. I think “Wednesday” is a mistake. Thursday, Dec. 11 is the correct date, I think. Link below.

“The 2026 Southeastern Conference football schedule will be unveiled on the 2026 SEC Football Schedule Reveal, set for 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 11. The two-hour special will disclose the competition dates for the 2026 season in primetime on SEC Network.”

I should really just plead the 5th.
Yes, he is. He’s been a guest on an Auburn podcast before.
Don’t be pussies. We’re going to whip some arse. (In Russia, arse whip you.)

War Eagle, mothafuggetas.

We can print up some really snazzy From Auburn With Love tee-shirts.

I head somewhere Joe Judge. I think he’s their QB coach. He used to be the HC of the New York Giants.

I’m not saying he can’t win at Ole Miss, I’m just saying he “used to be” the Giants HC and leaving it at that. (In fairness, the Giants haven’t been killing it for the last decade, either.)

As an Auburn fan, I reserve the right to behave as a young woman with pms. Weapy post last night boo-hooing about giving up AU football, over the moon due to a surprise hire today. I am what Auburn football has made me. Hahaha.
Frankly, he’s not. But he’s no worse, either.

I’m sure you’ll see plenty of records and stats, but the bottom line is - winner so far, unproven at this level, unknown floor but unknown ceiling, too. (All jusy like Sumrall, except I guess that Golesh is an offensive guy.)

At least we are taking a shot! Beats a ho-hum Durkin hire (IMHO).
I’m not disagreeing. Golesh wasn’t my first choice, but I feel like we have hope now. Proven track record thus far and unlimited potential ceiling. Also a possible low floor, but at least we’re taking a shot.

Beats the heck out of “meh, let’s just hire this guy who is here already.”
He tells me he doesn’t get involved with this shite. I don’t know if that’s true. My grandfather told me he was pretty hands on with hiring Shug. Whether that was true or he was just bragging, I don’t know.

But, yea. I’ll call him fwiw.
I have loved Auburn my entire life. My grandfather was on the BOT in the 50s. My cousin is on the BOT today. I graduated from Auburn. Most of my mother’s family graduated from Auburn. My mother (who passed away 3 months ago) loved Auburn almost as much as she loved me. My son (who was born and raised in NYC) is a student at Auburn now, because I encouraged him to consider Auburn when he was choosing a college.

But a man can only take so much. I’ll continue to support the university. But it’s time for the PTB to show me they love Auburn football as much as I do. If they can’t do that, why should I keep laying my heart on the line again (…and again…and again)?

Sometimes unconditional love can become an abusive relationship. Knowing I’ll be there no matter what they do may be part of the problem.

Sorry to be melodramatic. But I feel you. It may be time to get out of my relationship with Auburn football.
Yep. The only question left to be answered is which of Durkin’s assistants will be handed the job in 2028?
Underwhelming Auburn is about to strike again.

frick it, man. Just frick it.

As of an 2 hours ago I was told Golesh and Dillingham were both viable candidates.

If Cohen wants to pull this shite out of the fire, you tell Dillingham you’ve written a check with his name on it, he just has to fill out the amount.

And you tell him you HOPE he will consider keeping Durkin as DC, but it’s 100% his call.

That would make us the big winners, outside of LSU (and in my opinion, better than LSU).

But I have zero faith that Cohen’s desire to pull this shite out of the fire exceeds his desire to hand Durkin the HC’ing job.
From your mouth to the Good Lord’s ears, man man.
While I would not state it like that, certainly hiring the right coach is far paramount to player retention.
