Not a surprise. Bilking taxpayers is what their expertise is.

So why would you cite a lagging number about a current/future situation as demand grew and supply shrunk?

That is something that happened and was contrary to what people were projecting months ago. It is a statement that these projections you see getting tossed around in the media are shite. Lots of fear mongering going on. I’ve seen a lot of instances of it just today.

Is that a leading or lagging measurement?

What do you think? Hmm, YoY number. These numbers are always lagging.

Leading would be prognostications. How much weight do you put on those?

It can be inflationary.

But

The US annual inflation rate decreased to 2.4% in March 2025, down from 2.8% in February. This was the lowest rate since March 2021, indicating a cooling trend in prices
Clueless.

Also, I’m sick of this who is qualified or not qualified. Three things and you’re qualified:

35 years old or older

Natural born citizen
and
lived here at least 14 years.

Everybody that has run has been qualified.

Maybe
People that don’t pay their debts are the lowest forms of scum on the planet.

Now, not paying taxes?

I’m in!
55 is a good number. Bring in

While there was an overall small decrease due to trade, and that is bad, consumer spending and investments grew by 3%. While a decrease in GDP is not good, there are signs pointing to growth ahead if the tariff situation is worked out.

no they don't Show me what usda program gives ethanol subsidies

Correct. Most subsidies are based on benchmarks for crop pricing. Market prices fall below the benchmark, the farmers can apply for the subsidies to make up the difference.
I don’t like either one of them.

fricking welfare queens. Between subsidizing their losses and creating artificial market for ethanol, they should quit bitching about tariffs

Ridiculous. You folks don’t know shite and you’re as bad as the libs.
If we have to subsidy anything, how about the folks that provide us food? How about that?

But muh tariffs. Commodities are just down due to oversupply and weaker demand.

Correct. Market sucks and inputs and expenses have done nothing but increase over the last three years due to inflation. Recipe for disaster.

Since tariffs stuff cotton actually increased from futures low of $0.62/lb to now at almost $0.68/lb. That really sucks, but illustrates it’s not the tariffs that are the problem.

They're all saying it's pretty much business as usual and not anything they haven't already experienced in the last two decades.

Not the cotton folks. If you plant cotton this year, you will not make a profit.

Subsidies will get triggered this year for the first time in about 3-4 years for a lot of major crops. If farmers are saying business as usual, they are counting on government payments.
I think Nova Scotia gives them a run for it

Of course with the houndstooth, maybe Bama is a better comparison.

"We don’t need nothing from white people. We don’t need nothing from white people," said Johns. "They can’t even make potato salad."

I’m sick of this whole bullsh!t narrative. Just because you shake a pound of Lawrys orange dust on your food does not mean you are superior chefs. Quite the contrary. Yes, you have dead taste buds because you been fed thousands of pounds of orange dust your whole life.
Nobody cares what she has to say. You lost. Go away.

That said, after COVID, I might take the robot.

I look forward to a future where we can start an NFL Draft tracking thread on Thursday instead of Saturday.
