I haven't watched Missouri play this year. Anyone have any insight into how we matchup with them? All I know is that they have some tall WRs. What about their D and RBs?

Amazing wrs and rbs that take advantage of a defense respecting the pass. Will be a very difficult matchup

Put pressure on the QB and prevent big plays and we win

They have a fast defense and like to bring pressure. Our mis-direction should slow them down some but expect a lot of blitzes.

Offensively they are Oregon in a nutshell. They have 2 qbs and 2 rbs that are very fast and athletic with 2 big 2r's they like to throw it downfield to.

Should be a good one

Pollack said their D matches up better against us vs a "pound it down your throat running team like an Alabama."

Wonder if he has asked Kirby or Saban if we would not in fact be considered a "pound it" running team? Unbelievable.

Mizzou is pretty solid all around. Their offense is really good and their receivers scare me and will probably get theirs.

Defense is good, but more fast and athletic than big/strong (like bama).

I think we can run on them. Their pass rush is pretty sick, so if we have to throw, Marshall may have to roll out a lot.

They will score too. Figure it will be another relatively high scoring game.

I agree with all of that. I think we can rush for 350 on that DL though. And pressure up the gut.

Eventually people in the media will actually watch Malzahn run his offense.

Their defensive line is long and quick.

They did a great job containing Manziel.

Their offense has really big WRs.

They also have a RB named Josey who can scoot.

They are a good football team.
We need to focus, bring it, and finish to beat them.

We should have an advantage on special teams.

strength of schedule rankings

I have no idea how legit this is. Looking at their schedule, it seems to be the easiest in the SEC by far. Am I wrong?

If we go in with a bama hangover, they can jump on us quickly.

i don't think their fast defensive ends are that big of a threat to our running game. If we pass, they will rush us hard.

But we won't be able to stop them unless Dee and the guys get some pass rush. We will have to out score them

We will crush these bastards. Our DL will cause heartburn, and our offensive line will treat their D like little bitches. They are to be respected, but not feared.

Honestly, they are a cause for concern. But I think we can roll mizzou if we DWWD.

This. Their D is more fast than strong. I wouldn't expect us to break big runs on them often, but we will grind on them for 4-8 yards a carry pretty regularly.

Their offense has some monster WRs and some solid RBs. Also a mobile QB so pressure in the pass game isn't a guarantee. I think we can shut down their run, but their is a possibility that they put up huge passing numbers on us.

But then again, what team hasn't passed all over us the last few years, honestly.

Alright..... I'm not Stat Tiger, but. I looked at the stats from the 5 common opponents today: Arky State, Ole Miss, A&M, TN, and GA.

Auburn averaged:

Points- 42.2
Allowed- 26.6
Passed- 154.8
Rushed- 345.8
Allowed Pass- 327.2
Allowed Rush- 147.6

Missouri averaged:

Points- 33
Allowed- 15.8
Passed- 223
Rushed- 241
Allowed Pass- 271.5
Allowed Rush- 137

This seems to be a pretty even matchup.
