quote:Most likely he never had a chance for those kids at IMG. It is a little strange over there if what some of the kids parents said is true. Also think about it if you were a kid that could have big time exposure would you want to go to a team that ran a system offense, coach playing favorites, not a good track record of getting into the next level or go to a place that you have a better shot at getting to the next level? People seem to have Orange and Blue glasses on during the Gus period. I think I wouldn't have advised a D1 prospect to take AU over a few other schools during Gus' time. Just being realistic.
Even kids he coached at IMG never even gave us a look

quote:Agreed. Most of these kids on campus have never been to a night game in JHS. Once we get some of these guys back on campus for a game against UGA or Alabama things will start to sit in our favor
A few wins will go a long way to landing recruits.

I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic that we don't get into too deep a hole the next 2 years

We’re going to need an OL injection desperately ASAP

I'm losing faith in Caddy as a recruiter.
I don't know what kind of recruiter Caddy is, but the fact he can get any RB to come here given our OL situation is amazing.

I agree Randy, same with QB and receivers.
And you know that is used against us in recruiting as well, look at the friggin lines at our rivals, and what they just recruited, and you will be running behind that for 3 or 4 years.

I think downing or questioning Cadillac's recruiting ability is ridiculous. Remember, he has only been coaching AND recruiting at the college level now for 2 years(hired in 2019). He's having to NOW work with a whole new coaching staff, coaching philosophy, and sell these kids on the future, which is an unknown to these HS RBs, given the past history of our weak OLs.
The fact he got Tank is enough for now to solidify his recruiting ability for now.

Travis Branham predicts Tre Donaldson to Auburn. SIAP. Top 300 player in football. Top 100 in basketball. I have no clue what sport he will choose

I’m guessing he starts playing both (joining basketball in January) and ends up sticking to football. He looks like a football player

Speaking of 2 sport players.
We lead for Riley Quick. Wants play both Football and Baseball. Will come to AU per his momma.

Sean Jackson the Running back will go to UK since we picked up the last running back from Central Michigan or where ever he was transferring from.

Think he picks college over pro?

He's a decent pitcher and can hit but strikes out a lot. I don't think he's a draftee out of high school as a baseball player. I would say Sylar Jones is the better pitcher at Hewitt this year he throws 91 and is committed to Snead. Granted Riley has another year to grow and up his velocity from 93. Has a long way to go to be a true pitcher though.
Like I said his momma said he's going to AU to play both sports. (will include if bama offers both I'm sure he will go there not sure he has a committable offer at bama)

Would he have a committable from Bama? They absolutely scalded OL commits last cycle, already have 4 or so higher ranked than he is as prospects this year. His brother is now entering his 3rd year at bama and looks like he will be passed over for some underclassmen, and he is still listed at 280 lbs.
Would love to have him, and he may be waiting for Bama to move a lot of people off the board before his name, if his name, is called.

quote:Not doubting you so I hope it doesn't come off this way, but I'm real curious to see how pitching and playing OT in the SEC work together lol. Seems like those 2 have very different weight requirements.

And I'm sure at least some have already seen here, but Shemar James committed to UF.
Looks like Eston Harris is having a very nice visit at Oregon right now too.

Anthony Munoz did both at USC in the 70s

I doubt Bama offers. What would be nice if Riley came here. Played DE and baseball and brought Pierce his brother from Bama in a transfer.
Either way I’m not high on Quick was just passing along info.

Apparently Camden Browns OV is canceled. Looks like it was done on Auburns end. No reason given.

If Twitter is any indication, it seems like a lot of targets will start committing at the beginning of July.
