Larry Scott has been officially announced. We have a coaching staff!
On field, yes I believe so.

HC: Golesh
OC/QB: Gordon
WR/Co-OC: Burns
OL: Hudanick
RB: Porter
TE: Scott
DC/LB: Durkin
S/Co-DC: Banks
DL: King-Williams
OLB: Hutzler
CB: Van Dyke
ST: Bronowski

Plus the defensive assistant Brad Wilson, who might be backup LB coach for Durkin?
Seems like a solid hire.

EDIT: Looks like his son followed Golesh from USF LINK
I think On3 shared some names for TE coach tonight?

September is manageable.
October is brutal.
November should be nice.
Snagging Banks would be huge. We'd have a really solid defensive staff at that point.

Also, look up the coaching history for these guys in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Lots of overlap at Bowling Green and Illinois for Golesh, Durkin, Banks, and VKW. Maybe some others too? They seem to trace back to Tim Beckman, who was a GA for Pat Dye.
The staff page on the AU website has been updated with these announced hires. Also interesting is that Marcus and Crime are still listed.
Byrum Brown has more SEC wins than Deuce

Excuse me, I believe it's spelled "KGB".
I'm not sure there's an argument at this point.

Perry has been here for two years and hasn't figured it out, even after Fields went down and the door opened for him to solidify his role in the offense. Malcolm had more yards in the Iron Bowl than he had all year.

Compare that to Keshaun Singleton at USF who, if he transferred in, would already have proven production in this offense and would know the scheme better than any wide receiver we have on the roster.

The only room for debate is based on Perry's HS recruiting rankings, which goes out the door the minute a player steps on campus. Like many players, he hasn't lived up to that rating. If he was a 3* coming out of HS replacing him with a USF receiver wouldn't even be a debate, so you're gambling on a guy who hasn't lived up to the hype (but presumably you're still paying him based on his HS ranking) over a proven player in the system.

EDIT: Also, Perry was going to transfer out this offseason regardless.

Golesh is Building the Program His Way

This is what it looks like when you give a coach autonomy to fire and hire the staffers he wants and decide which players to keep. There are some staffers and players that will leave that personally I'd like to stay, but Golesh is doing it his way with his guys who know what he wants and how he wants it done.

Every time there's a coaching change we fans have a list of who and what we want to preserve from the failure of the last staff. You can't say you want the PTB to be hands off yet effectively ask for the same control as a fanbase. In the end, anyone that leaves has been part of the worst stretch of Auburn football in the modern era, with losing season after losing season since 2020. We've hired a new coach to fix that, so you've got to let him do it and see if it works out.

1. He's always chewing gum.

2. He's always got at least one phone in his hands.

My coach.
New culture, new scheme. There's going to be a lot of turnover in every aspect of this program. We will have a chance to get players to replace the ones we lose.
Golesh will use TEs and our room might as well be empty.
As long as Durkin is the DC I'm not concerned. Creamer had some really good STs, and there was nothing in Roc's resume to warrant being employed here in the first place ... Orlando has a lot of experience, I just don't want him as DC. Durkin will still work with the players, I'm sure.

Also worth noting that USF's defense gave up a ton of yards, but was also one of the best in the nation at generating turnovers, which is what Golesh wants. Durkin's scheme will likely look different next season.

It's easy to think it's a finesse offense because of the deep shots and the wide formations, but the same offense sent Dylan Sampson to Cleveland.

I'm also interested to learn how Golesh has made it his own compared to Heupel. Heupel was a QB, but Golesh has been coaching TEs most of his career and started on defense. I was listening to a national college football podcast this week where they described Golesh as a "defensive coach's soul in an offensive coach's body".
Wonder if Marcus could wind up coaching TEs.

USF's TE coach appears to be a junior member of the staff with a background as a WR analyst. And I wonder how directly involved Golesh is with TEs.
My guess so far based on public 247 info:

Golesh
OC/QB Gordon
DC/LB Durkin
WR Burns
OL Hudanick
RB ?? (Marcus Davis?)
TE ??
DL VKW
EDGE ??
CB Van Dyke
S ?? (Rushing?)
ST ?? <-- USF's ST were pretty good so I bet he brings this guy over
