Yuracheck fell for it. I say we fire him while he's running the CFB playoff committee.

Nothing fraudulent about silverfield. He’s just not an SEC level coach IMO.

Well, at least he got credit for having some maintenance guy change out some light bulbs.

quote:Exactly. Nothing about his resume said he'd be successful here, thus the initial melt about the hire in the first place.

Silverfield is who we thought he was. He took a perennial AAC title contending team and turned them into an average to bottom-half dwelling team. That was his resume. There was no reason to ever believe he would be a successful SEC coach.

At least he will get a check.

That is all they could get.
No one wants this job.
No one wants this job.

No one wants this job because it's at a major disadvantage against the rest of its conference when it comes to support.
Nothing will improve until Yurachek is gone.

It's deeper than Yuracheck.
Arkansas has strong fan support but it is lacking compared to the rest of the conference.
They are cutthroat, we are not.

Yurachek is another story for a different thread.
Get a damn grip guys, it was his first game. I understand we went through Morris and Pittman but holy hell. I am as disgruntled/defeated/deflated as anyone. But let's give him some time and see how this season plays out, at least.

I completely understand where you are coming from. It was game number 1, let's see how this shite plays out. There is just no way we can scream that the sky is falling after the first game.

I can’t believe how bad kj jackson looked today considering we already have film on him against Texas and Missouri from last year where he wasn’t a disaster. Ditto with the offensive line.

Well he actually had a legitimate coach coaching him last year, so that helps. Now he has an intramural staff and it shows

Oh boy, you are barking up the wrong tree with this crowd.

Honest question: if we had played Arkansas tech today and only beat them 31-14, would you still feel the same? That it’s just the first game and doesn’t mean anything?

Matters not, brother. I have been around here for a long time. Hell I didn't register to post and just lurked for over a decade.
We are only one game in and I just don't see how we can feel so down about this team and coach. I don't have unrealistic expectations about this team or coach but you have to see what happens. And I don't mean by 'give him some time' as in give him years. I just mean let's see how the season plays out.

quote:Exactly. Lack of knowledge of the opponent is dampening the reaction of some, I think. This is legitimately like playing a cagey game with UAPB. UNA isn't quite as bad as Pine Bluff, but they aren't a hell of a long way off either. They are significantly worse than UCA. Even at the FCS level they're a doormat.

This game was not a good sign at all.

When you are favored by 40 and struggle to beat a bad FCS team, expect extreme negativity.

When NIL was occurring, the rest of the SEC rolled up their sleeves and got down in the dirt. Yurachek cried about it and fought against it. We are doomed with that limp dick as the AD.
