Money is certainly part of the problem.

However. Utah’s roster cost an estimated $18-22 mln. Sooooo. It’s not everything.

We’re failing everywhere. Coaching, player evaluation, recruiting, leadership, administration. Everywhere.

You guys probably want to lock him up in a 10-yr contract while you still can. Say $140 mln? With a big ol’ fat buyout. You certainly don’t want LSU trying to poach him in 2-3 years when Kiffin flames out.

One of these players is on the Heisman watch list. The other is the QB for, statistically, the worst offense in the SEC.

Player B
47/75, 62.7%, 652 yds, 6 TDs, 3 INTs, 66.1 QBR

Go figure.

So after the Texas loss? Could be. I would think after the season, so Dec 1.

But if we lose Saturday and are truly staring 1-11 in the face, all bets are off. The unrest is going to get worse as each loss piles up.

The loss drops him below Bret Bielema who is 23-45 and leaves him tied with Houston Nutt who was 20-40.

This is unequivocally false. Novell had taken Memphis to three straight AAC title games and won one. Silverfield’s best seasons were two T-3s. He finished in the bottom half of the conference in three of his six seasons. He was slowly destroying what Norvell and Fuentes had built there.

I know he played at Louisville, but watching the joy on Stein’s face (and all the players and fans) after that game, it’s something different. He was one of them. He was a Kentucky boy. He was family.

Maybe it’s the 15 years of football incompetence. Maybe it’s my old(er) age. But circling the wagons sounds more and more appealing. The new AD absolutely MUST be from Arkansas. Surely.

And we MUST convince Rhett Lashlee to come home to turn this train wreck around. Jerry Jones can sell him. Whatever it takes. It’s the only answer at this point.
