I tend to agree with this. You don't hire a coach that is the caliber of Cal and turn around in year three and have money issues.
The money that these guys are asking is absolutely ridiculous but that is how it is. Tyson(who is likely providing the most $) is obviously an intelligent person so he knew what he was getting into. My very uneducated guess is that Cal is possibly having trouble finding the right fit for these last couple of spots?

That is not even remotely the case.

They can but you have to keep in mind that they have to spend more money in football and that is very expensive.
And that can take away from other sports.

If that list is accurate, Lousiville has spent their money much better than everyone so far this portal season.

If this is the source of the list, it's just Twitter engagement bait from an account with 500 followers.

Then I cut Dave some slack.
No reason Arkansas should cut any money from Baseball.

Malique Ewin has hit the transfer portal.
I view this as mostly precautionary from Ewin who is still waiting for his waiver to be approved for one more season of eligibility.
Portal closes tonight, Hogs may not be able to afford waiting on a waiver decision, I think it’s still possible he could come back. My opinion.
Here’s where we stand. #WPS

Ewin started slow but was great by the end of the year. We don't win the SEC tournament or make the Sweet 16 without him.

Ewin could be a nice piece but I'd rather see him playing a role as a 4 when we go big

He had 5 rebounds or less in over half the games we played. He was great against overmatched teams that lacked in interior presence. He completely disappeared against teams with a pulse on the inside, and his offense was the "strength" of his game. Don't even get me started on his revolving door defense.
There are dozens of mediocre bigs in the portal right now that can do what he did. 9 points and 5 rebounds per game is not hard to replace at all and it's almost a guarantee you can get better defense out of them on top of it.

Calipari talked about having to motivate him late in the year and stay on him hard to get anything out of him. He's an okay player, but just okay. Really don't care if he gets another year or not.
