Okie Light just beat Oregon with 40 something UNT transfers. Yeah they got a few from other places but a lot of the key cogs came from there.
I have no idea what their NIL budget is and yeah they lost their first game to Tulsa but clearly they are trending up... and they have a QB....
So I don't buy the "it's a better job" angle... but I think they made a better hire.

In less than 2 games I have lost all confidence in Cramsey. Listening to him talk you can tell he wants you to think he's the smartest guy in the room but we are running a freakin PeeWee offense... and NOT WELL at that.

Thanks guys. I never have ran traps but it's looking like my best option at this point. Nightly stalks back to the feeder are getting old quick and I'm only getting 1/2 each time. Not to mention it's gonna start jacking up my deer movement with bow season about to open.

Dan Enos was a competent OC his first stint at ARKY.
Cramsey has not shown he is competent at anything except acting tough in his weekly press conference.

At this point we have 2 options assuming RS doesn't get it done.
1. Throw a crap ton of money at a "name" and hope we can lure them.
2. Give the job to someone like Lunney or Lashlee(might take more $$$) and let someone who would consider this a destination job take a shot at it. I think our job is unique in that you almost need a homegrown guy to have success.

Having major issues with raccoons in my protein feeders.
I've snuck out there and sniped a few but I'm not making much of a dent.
Besides fly bait and traps, anyone got any useful tips to keep them away without messing up my deer?
I'm about to a point where I am going to resort to trapping them but I was hoping someone might have had success with something else.
When I say issues, I mean upwards of a dozen at a time sometimes.

We don't have Zone scheme running backs. That's why they are trying to force Sutton Smith down our throats. Russell and Settles are both gap-scheme backs. Parker is kind of a hybrid from what I can tell in his limited time so far.

And it's also not lost on me that KJ has regressed. If he was functioning well in BP's complex offense, why can't he run a simple RPO style?
My guess from what I can see is that rather than just read it and throw it, they try to kill the run or check the RPO instead of just building in a dual call and rolling with it.
It can be simple.... example we go zone read right with a hot.... KJ keeps, pulls the corner and dumps it off to the WR in the flat for a big gain.
Simple, would have been there all night. I don't think we ever went back to it.
RPO offense is about repetition and making defenders be wrong. We aren't sticking with anything long enough to get consistent reads.
Sorry guys..... I coached for 22 years, got into Admin.... and MAN do I miss ball!!!!

Clearly, I thought that the GM thing and at least Roberts at DC were good moves.
Cramsey at OC was an awful hire. He is not a high level OC and it's already showing.

Another thing of note is that Little Rock used to churn out it's fair share of football talent.
That hasn't been the case as much and a lot of the instate talent left during Morris and Pittman eras.
I think Silverfield at least has figured that part out but that will take time. He'd better figure out how to fix it faster or he won't be around long enough for the build out.

It's got to be someone connected in state. I joke about HDN but lots of folks love him. I don't think he's an AD but I do think he could work in some capacity with the university and help raise money.

Part of the zone is playside, the other is a wall off if you can't overtake to give a backside A gap cutback. Not once in two games have we gotten it that I have seen.
Lord, I won't even get into Pass Pro but BOB protection doesn't work when the QB can't see the back streaking up the sideline uncovered because they brought 6 and he didn't throw hot.
So many levels of frustrating.
