No, I originally pointed out that we don’t win the SEC tournament without him. Then you conveniently left that game out.

Then in a tight game against High Point he had 14 and 12 with 4 blocks. I don’t understand the hate for him.

We don't win a tournament without one of the starters. Really bold statement. He was 4th on the team in scoring that game. Doesn't mean he's a "great" player or a loss of any significance. He was part of the reason the interior was this team's Achilles heel.

You don't understand the hate for a 5 that didn't play defense and routinely got out-rebounded by guards?

You guys do realize if his waiver gets approved within a reasonable timeframe he's coming back to Arkansas right? It doesn't really matter.

Not particularly. Just don't see the point in acting like Ewin was some huge asset. This team hit a wall with a generational player because the play in the frontcourt didn't match the play in the backcourt and Ewin was half of that problem.

Interesting, you called Acuff a generational player, and we hit a wall because our bigs didn’t match his play.

So we just need two generational bigs plus a generational point guard to have more success. Bold statement!

Yep. Acuff was the entire backcourt and played the only position considered to be in the backcourt. You're very smart.

I could insult your math skills but you’ll just twist my words and make up fake arguments to make yourself feel better anyway.

Kinda like you trying to insinuate the term backcourt only means Acuff?

I also said the play of the frontcourt (group of players) didn't match the play of the backcourt (a separate group of players). Do you think everyone in the backcourt was generational? Because that's the only way what you said would make any sense.

You're just trolling at this point. Everyone who watched the team knows the frontcourt was the weakness all year. It was brought up from December to March.

It’s not so much that Ewin is a game-changer that we need to get back. But it would have been nice for him to stick around as a backup big man (and he still may). The problem is we were already looking for a starting 4 and a starting 5 in the portal. If we have to add finding a decent depth piece to that, even more to try and navigate. And the state of the portal is absolutely abysmal. Almost all of the high impact players are off the board. So much so that arguably our best shot at finding a 5 is getting a 17 year old to reclass and anchor our front court next year.

which is what Cal wanted from the get go... Dude is still ate up with HS cruits bro. The right ones will get you into the sweet 16/Elite8... maybe.

I really need Nolan to yell at Cal about 20 times in a row, to... "Go get you some men".

Thiam has not decided yet but still sounds like Michigan.

quote:

Michigan is looking to pair him with a true rim protector, which is why the Wolverines brought in Cincinnati's Moustapha Thiam for a visit earlier this week. By all accounts, Michigan felt good when he left campus.

A person with knowledge of the coaching staff’s plans but not authorized to speak publicly said of the visit went "really well" and it appeared that the goals from both sides aligned.

Inside Arkansas discord just posted that Micah Handlogten from Florida is possibly a silent commit and we are in the drivers seat for Ekezie.
