I’ve heard the audio book is great/better than the read I’ve never been an audiobook person though. Need the words there or lose focus etc. Might try to listen for reread.

Radio was bitching about hotel prices, Airbnb looked affordable when I briefly glanced earlier today. Just fyi to those making the pilgrimage. If we make the final I’ll have a hard time not driving up.

Picked up the 7th on Kindle. I haven’t burned through a series like this in a long time. Such a fun easy read that still has depth.

How is the 7th book available? Kindle only? I’ll finish 6 probably tomorrow.

Just finished book 5 The Butchers Masquerade.
Spoilers
Kinda shocked they went away from Katia as a love interest. Dammit her twist at the end hurt though. Also so did Pony just use those items to skip the 7th floor for everyone? Starting book 6 tonight.

It’s been said in one of these threads but the story and stakes in Mistborn era one are bigger but the characters/writing are much better in second era.
I don’t know why but I could not get into sunlit man which was weird cus it was my most looked forward to secret project. Need to read again I might have gone in with too high expectations. Just did not give a frick about the science etc.

Dance and Feast were split up for some reason by George. If you google boiled leather read through it leads you read them side by side until
They converge about 65% dance. That helped on rereads at least. I don’t remember dance being sloggy but it’s been 6 ish years. Feast I had a hard time first time through. Remember The prologue in the second book I wanted to gouge my eyes out.

Initially I dreaded the back half trilogy because all the new POVs but I don’t remember one that I just dreaded reading (looking at you dorne chapters and Brienne first read though of Feast for Crows).

This series is crack. Just finished book 4. I hate Katia seems to be leaving. The sex doll head was a thing lol. Juice box I hope gets a happy ending. Next book looks like it will kick arse, the hunt sounds sweet and Carl seems ready to kill kill kill.

Greatcoats rocked. Perfect amount of humor/action. Falcio/kest/brasti bros for life.

Finished the third book Anarchist Cookbook. Like that the books are getting thicker and the slow backstory build. Katia grew up a lot this book (Hekla scene was awesome). Kinda weird donut almost took a back seat this book, can see the Katia/carl love fest coming. Also liked we met more and more crawlers (you’d be dumb not to team up in this scenario). I’m really glad he has a not that the tangle will not make sense on the first page because that was hard to follow just kinda went with it. Started gate of feral gods let’s gooooo! (Bea is totally showing up at some point).

Boogie withdraws from the draft. No ill will go get that bag young man hopefully not in the SEC. Knowing our luck he’ll be an all American fully healthy and a year older next year.

It’s his first book and woof you can tell. The Emperors Soul and Elantris novella is much better. You’re doing whole cosmere so there’s some stuff in there you’ll need to notice.

Finished 2nd one carls doomsday scenario. Love the there’s something bigger going on in the background but I have no clue what it all means feel to it. Did not like this one was a much shorter story (100 pages or so less than first). The skyfall prostitutes mission was kinda meh as well. The Carl flashback to his mom/him being happy during the carnival scene hit right in the feels. Look forward to continuing the story, like that the author had a warning the map in level four makes no sense until the end lol.

Started Carl and that’s one negative is that each book is 30 at B&N (think target online was a bit cheaper). And my library they’re on hold for a billion years. Seems like a series I’ll reread and the wife will read so will probably end up purchasing but dang wish there was a box or discounted rate.

Finished the first book. Ended on one hell of a cliffhanger. The Pineapple Cabaret part is very interesting. There’s something bigger going on behind the scenes, glad Carl is smart enough to pick up on it as well. Starting Doomsday Scenario tonight.

I sent them “did we really just start a meth war between the llamas and the goblins.” Think that got them to bite and buy.

Just started and about halfway through the first book. Wanted something lighter while taking a break from Suneater and saw this highly recommended on a fb sci/fy fantasy board. I am loving it and haven’t read something this funny in a long time. Text my book chat random quotes and they’re like what the actual frick are you reading.

Finished Howling Dark book 2 of Sun Eater Series. So it did drag at times and seemed somewhat repetitive but the last 1/3 or so with the Cieclin was awesome and immediately went and bought the next one (stupid library didn’t have) Kharn Sagara was cool af. The highmatter sword (shardblade cough cough) is pretty sick too. The uh come back story at the end I hope gets explained a bit more. Anywho onto demon in white.
