How “Rocky” will it have to be to pull Dear Jalen next week in Knoxville ? Over under 4 turnovers

Exactly. BY was trying to come into this game and they wouldn’t let him.

I was on the field for about 90+ minutes Pre-kick. Bryce didn't throw once during warmups.

But he was not in a sling and he was shaking hands, hugging players, patting shoulders and backs without any hint of an issue. I think the plan all along was to rest him for TSO and give Milroe the game experience of being THE guy. Thankfully we didn't need Young to win even though it was a nail-biter

As I understand it, the way the injury he has works if you start to throw then that particular day is pretty much lost for rehab purposes. A pitch count does no good, so it's either full rest or full participation.

The only thing that concerned me is that they didn't see the state of the offense after the first half and decide to make the change. Whether he is 100% or not next weekend matters a lot less if we lose to what will almost certainly end up being a 6-6 aTm team last night. We were well on our way to a loss and the coaches apparently didn't even consider sending Bryce in. That says to me that he's not playing until he's 100%, and who knows how long that'll be.

Being a backup is why QBs enter the portal. Nobody is trying to come here to be a backup.

If Young doesn't play vs Tenn, we lose.

UT is going to score, and Bama can't get behind by more than 7. I would think UT will sell out for stopping the run just as A&M did and take chances that #4 can't beat them in the passing game (very sound plan).

I would be awful to lost to UT after so many years, but it wouldn't hurt Bama as far as the West standings.

You have to be able to have some success throwing the ball when teams just discount your ability to do so. #4 is an athlete playing QB and that is the story as of today. He actually got worse as the game progressed and had 3 more passes that would have been picked had A&M actually just held on to them.

Ty Simpson should have gotten a shot. All this "he's a true freshman" stuff is garbage. These elite QBs have been given personal coaching, QB clinics and 7 on 7 tournaments from the time they can first throw a spiral. These kids are much better prepared when they enter college than QBs 20 years ago. Milroe isn't a QB. Better to roll with one who is.

Tells us nothing about next week. This injury requires rest. Only thing that tells us is that he wasn’t going to play last night and if they had decided that it would make zero sense for him to throw a warm up pass.

"He's a true freshman" is not a garbage argument. Being better prepared now than 20 years ago is valid but that doesn't mean they are truly prepared to go win SEC games.

I hope he gets some more practice reps this week and feel sure he will develop in time, but he's been around since January. If the staff thought he was a clearly better option he would've been out there.

Ty should've gotten a series or two at least. He wasn't gonna put us in any worst situations than 4 had us in..if he couldn't get in that game last night then he must not be who we think or hope he is..made no sense to me!!

If Milroe is pulled for something other than injury, it will be too late anyway...by that point, they are just getting Ty some experience

Tell me you didn’t watch a minute of the 2017 season without telling me that you didn’t watch a minute of the 2017 season.

I know it sucks but not all AC joint sprains are the same degree and there is certainly a chance BY won’t be able to go next week
