He still hasn't developed much as a QB. Philadelphia was just willing to build their entire team around Jalen's strengths.
Their offense is run-dominant, and they run lots of RPOs. Really the offense in Philadelphia is extremely similar to the one that Jalen ran with Lane Kiffin.
Jalen still isn't a QB who's going to beat teams with his arm, and I'd be shocked if the Eagles make it to the super bowl for that very reason.
Don't forget that the Eagles have played NOBODY this season. Literally no one. They played the Cowboys when Dak was hurt. They haven't faced a single explosive offense all season. They've just been feasting on mediocre to bad teams.

My how the standards have fallen at Alabama. I remember when our defense ranked top 5 in every category every single year. I remember when our defense used to be as dominant as Georgia's has been lately.
I remember when Pruitt fielded what I think was the best defense in college football history.
Now we're talking about the crowning achievement of the Golding era being he had a top 15 defense. Wow...
Some of you are about to be reminded what it's like to actually have a defense.

He stepped out from under Saban to be the DC at FL State for one year and produced a fantastic defense that won the Natty in his first year. When Kirby left to go to UGA, Pruitt came back to Bama as the DC. His defense was simplified from what Kirby/Saban did and was also much more aggressive.
Pruitt makes the Saban defense more adaptive and more vicious. Pruitt has some personal short comings that Saban has been the only coach in his entire careers who had his respect enough to keep those issues in check. The only other college level coach that had Pruitt's respect to that degree was Brother Oliver.
I have known Pruitt since he was 12 or 13 years old. While I am not a fan of him as a person, he is a fantastic coach and recruiter. His player evaluation/recruiting skill is on Saban/Kirby level. His management skill beyond DC sucks largely because of his personal short comings. He will likely never be a really good head coach at the college level.
Solid analysis. It's time for Pruitt to come back home, warts and all. If we want a hateful, aggressive defense, he's the man for the job.
Not to mention it'll be nice to have a better defense than fricking Georgia for a change.

Joe Brady would be an incredible hire. His offense at LSU in 2019 was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. It was poetry in motion. He made Sarkisian look like a noob.
If we can get Joe Brady, we take him in a heartbeat.
Dan Mullen would be OK but in my opinion we need to go new school on offense, old school on defense.
The younger the OC the better imo. We need a passing game wizard.
