Both already have. Buchner is going to Notre Dame to play lacrosse.

but blaming Milroe for consistently horrible snaps isn't fair.

regardless of snap issues, Milroe froze seeing unblocked blitzer like deer in headlight. He has very poor QB mechanics

With him, Lonergan, and Sayin to push Milroe, we should come out of spring with a great QB1

I just don’t want another Hurts/Tua situation. Just let the best QB play, whoever it is.

Its going to be Sayin, Milroe, Lonergan in that order

I have a hard time seeing Sayin starting. If Tua and Bryce couldn’t I don’t see Sayin doing it.

The receivers were openly showing disgust with Hurts during games because they knew Tua was better, but we stayed with Hurts. Hurts almost cost us the MSU game and he did cost us the barn game.

Saban will stick with Milroe until it costs us a game again.

I think folks who believe Sayin will automatically win the job are fooling themselves. Hurts was the last true freshman QB to start for us, and even then it was only after other QBs just absolutely pooped the mattress.

I really hope Sayin gets at least a year to adjust to the speed of the game before he starts.

Maybe bringing in his dad as QB coach, ha. If Milroe feels slighted or threatened, his stock will never be higher than right now. I doubt we would match an incredible offer from somewhere else.

Sayin is also one of the half a dozen five stars we’ve gotten. Remember Blake Barnett? Hell Simpson was a five star too

Penciling him in as a starter is silly, he could end up needing 2+ years before seeing the field

Exactly. I think/hope Sayin will be a good one but I think he has about a 15% chance of starting.

If Milroe loses the job I don’t see him leaving. I think he’d stay the year to develop/potentially get the role back and if he doesn’t then he uses his fifth year somewhere

Hell he could stay six total with the COVID year

FACTS!

Just continue sleeping on Ty Simpson...folks acting like they didn't see the development throughout the season. He's a much better quarterback than people think.

Bryce didn't struggle much fielding snaps from Seth.

His hands were closer to the ground.

One thing that I've considered is that Bryce is shorter, and more limber, than Milroe (and is crazy athletic). Seems like I recall Bryce making some incredible heads up catches of errant snaps last year.

We have have had some 5 star bust QBs sure but none of them that won elite 11 have ever been a bust. Sayin won elite 11 so I think he’s going to be a winner for us. I hope saban doesn’t pull the “won the locker room crap” till the midnight hours like he did on the hurts/tua situation again.
