PSA AR-V 8" 9mm 1/10 Lightweight M-Lok MOE EPT SBA3 Pistol - $799.99

Any opinions on this compared to the Daniel Defense PCC? I know you can get 2 of the PSA’s for the price of 1 DD…but if price wasn’t a factor?

I currently have a CZ Scorpion carbine, but would like something a little shorter with my suppressor.
I don’t watch much basketball during the season, but enjoy the tournament games.

That was fun.

Congratulations Gators!
When my boy was around 7.. he helped me refinish a stock on a Glenfield/Marlin model 60 22lr with the squirrel on the stock (my dad gave it to me when I was a kid in the 70’s). No bluing work, just a breakdown and cleaning that was way overdue.

Anyway, when we had it like we wanted, we both signed our name on the wood under the buttpad and may have dated it.

I wish I had my grandpa’s old 22.

You’re a good dad.

Only thing I don’t have is an over and under shotgun

If you’re talking about the old Savage over and unders, my dad passed me a Savage 24S-D a couple of years ago. It’s a 22mag over 20 gauge (the old style with the barrels braised(?) together). It’s in pretty good shape and quickly became one of my favorite walking around guns, basically due to it’s versatility. It’s the model with the selector switch on the hammer.

I love that thing and I wish I had bought a bunch of them when they were easy to find.

He has another one, but I forget what the combination is (but I think it was a centerfire over 12 gauge).

To the op…never feel like I have all I want. Just bought a Browning BL-22 a few weeks ago and now have the itch for a new Marlin 357 lever. I’ll probably pick one up in a few weeks. It’ll be a good host for my Wolfman can. The only drawback is needing to stockpile ammo for a new caliber that I don’t have (don’t hate on me downshift).

For sunrise/sunset portraits, I would pick up a fixed 50mm 1.8 for less than $150 and it will give you shots that will be amazing.

Keep in mind that a long zoom lens will be best with good light. I haven’t bought a lens in years and I’m sure the cameras have made up for shooting longer zooms with higher iso ranges.

Back in the day a Canon 70-200 “L” was a reasonably priced zoom and still might be good. Buying a Canon L lens with a fixed length and zooming with your feet is always an option (and cheaper).

For reference, I still use a Canon 30D that I bought waaay back when and my 50mm 1.8 and a Sigma zoom (off hand can’t remember the zoom range - but it’s not much).

I was just an enthusiast who spent way too much time on photography forums. I’m curious to hear what some of our experts hear chime in with too.

The lens shopping gets expensive quick.

Weatherby Vanguard Compact.

Comes with spacers that allow you to adjust the length of pull. Would be a rifle that can be used a lifetime. It’s a Howa 1500 action and can’t be beat for the money (maybe less than $600).

Looks like it comes in .243, .308, 6.5cm, 7mm-08, and 350 legend.

Any of those will work. I use the first 3 calibers (in rifles, different manufacturers).

My son has been using a regular Vanguard (non adjustable version) for years and is about to turn 19. He’s got a wall full of skull mounts and a couple of full mounts using a 6.5cm. I’m proud to say he’s a much better shot/hunter than I am.

Bought my son a Savage 301 410 and put a cheap (I think ~$79) Northtac Ronin p10 red dot on it (low mount). Looks like they don’t make the p10 anymore. I’m pretty sure he is using the choke that came with it.

He also uses the tss shells and hunted them with a Beretta A300 12 before he got the 301. I had to walk away when he was patterning it. $10 a shot.

He’s killed his limits with the 301 and the Beretta, and each one was as dead as the other.

I’m personally not a turkey hunter.

That’s part of the fun of getting a dedicated one…I’ve killed a slew of big rats while bushhogging with a knock off 410 snake charmer.

This thread has got me thinking about picking up a new Colt king cobra for my tractor gun.

Or buy a 22lr adapter for my 410.

I don’t know what to recommend on disposal..

But don’t pour it in #2 washtub that is old and decrepit and light it.

It will leak and start running out the side.

What got you free shipping? I see 15 to ship when I look.

It was a minimum order amount. I think it was $150 or so….not sure if it’s still applicable.

I generally order a good amount when I find it priced right. If the shipping is unreasonable, that would kill the savings for sure.

30-06 and 6.5cm psa

A little heads up for imo the best available factory loaded hunting ammo.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with them, but I just got my delivery.

freedommunitions has Barnes ttsx in 30-06 and 6.5 cm on sale. 30-06 is $27 and the 6.5cm is $25.

Go to their “Sale” section.

I jumped on it with free shipping and mentioned it here in another thread that probably didn’t see much traffic.

Make sure you use the exact spelling I put there…there is a scam site with spelling very close.

I bought enough to last me and the boy the rest of our lives.

I’ll never understand why people still use a Silcencer Shop kiosk

Because it makes the process so easy for the first time buyer. They handle everything and guide you along the way (and have all your information available for a quick purchase later on). If you have any questions or hiccups along the way - they can help.

Short story…my first suppressor purchase was from a normal dealer who had the silencer shop kiosk (my main objective)…I did everything like normal and never received any updates that things were proceeding normally. I emailed silencer shop to get updates, figuring that they were the holdup. Turns out that the normal gunshop dealer who sold me the suppressor was “in the process” of changing over to exactly the in house process you are explaining. This went on for a month before the dealer admitted to what he was doing. I was pissed beyond being pissed and had him refund my money (he still fricked me on my sales tax).

I called silencer shop and ordered one on the phone and had it within a month.

I understand that my situation is abnormal, but screw fooling around with trying to save a little when it’s already absurd.

Just my $.02.

Swap to a Barnes

Freedommunitions has the Barnes 6.5cm TTSX for $25.35 / box right now. The ad says they are regular TSX, but the sku is for TTSX (I wouldn’t care either way).

You won’t find a better price than that. I just bought enough for me and my boy for the rest of our lives.

They also have them in 30/06 for about the same price (also have several different flavors at good prices).

Look on the “Sale” section.

Make sure you use the website name I put here. They sent me a regular email saying that a copycat website is scamming folks (scam site has an “A” between the two m’s)

I’ve ordered from freedommunitions in the past with no problems, but it’s been a couple of years.

So go ahead and and call silencershop and buy the cat WB on back order. You’ll pay for it right then and there but they’ll let you buy it.

This.

The rep can also let you know how many are coming in the next shipment and what number you are in line.

Helps relieve some of the anxiety (if you’re a little impatient like me).

Exactly.

Why would they even want to mess with a turd like Nissan?

That would be a huge win for Nissan, not so much for Honda.
