Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson is expected to remain with the program for 2024, per @tuscaloosanews.
I gotta say he looked really good when he got in vs Kentucky and Chattanooga. I think him and Sayin will push Jalen to get better.

Ty will be much better with another offseason in the program. Milroe won’t be guaranteed anything at this point.

Now that’s interesting. It’s being reported he made his final decision to stay after a sit down with Nick…I wonder what Saban said…

I was never impressed with Ty’s actual play until later in the year. He looked good.

Hey if he’s staying because he thinks he can win the job back then more power to him. That’s good for our QB room in general.

Yea, we talk about how little experience Milroe still has. Most players improve with more experience. Simpson has played so little how can you even make a judgment on what his ceiling is at this point?
He's only played a handful of snaps.

Simpson's ratio of great plays to dumb plays doesn't stack up well to Milroe's. That dropping of the ball before scoring is his most memorable play.

That’s an interesting development. Milroe is absolutely QB1 next year, don’t see how he’s going to be unseated, so maybe Ty is looking for a 1 and done the following season?

I don’t think Milroe is absolutely QB1 next year without marked improvement. Simpson improved a good bit in backup duty over the course of the season. If Simpson is out there delivering the ball on time in the Spring, Milroe has a competition on his hands.

He'll will win the job...if Nick Saban gives him a legit opportunity.

Half of the folks who thinks its Jalen Milroe's job is foolish. He can't run a full offense yet. Can he get better? Yes! But I do think Ty Simpson will be the BEST quarterback for next seasons team.

He has it all...only time will tell.

I think that its feasible that Simpson improves a lot and seriously fights for starter. I don't really buy the whole "Milroe is starter no matter what" stuff. If he benched Hurts for Tua, then why would we have reservations about doing the same with Milroe?

Playing him vs USF behind a trash offensive line is not a legit opportunity.

He still managed to effect the game in a positive manner and come out with the W!

Ty Simpson isn't a one trick pony!

He’s not the only QB with dumb plays. Let’s not forget Milroe running beyond the line of scrimmage then trying to pass the ball, twice.

I remember when Mac Jones threw 2 interceptions in the Iron Bowl and everyone here said he was a horrible QB and no way he’d win the starting job the following year. Who knew only seeing a player in limited playing time didn’t show the whole picture..

Mac Jones did not get get more shite than Seth.

I feel sorry for Seth. He's like a modern day Cade Foster.

I'm 100% confident that that is the most "fixable" issue amongst all the QB issues Bama had last season

Y’all can pencil me in again for the Ty Simpson side when we inevitably fight like the baltics over a spring QB battle

Milroe has a big leg up, obviously, but Simpson staying is good for the program, even if he doesn't win the job (which I don't expect him to).

Interesting. I expect him to be here for spring and see how that goes. That will tell us a lot. If it’s clear he’s not going to pass up Milroe then he might transfer after spring.

That being said, love his competitiveness and I think he’ll push Jalen

Meh either way if that’s the lone reason Seth is leaving because social media hate then that’s weak af tbh. He fricked it. Accept it and get better. Who cares what Twitter says. Ignore it.

I couldn’t imagine being a true gump and leaving to finish my career elsewhere simply because the fans gave me hate on Twitter. That should be par for the course at this point.

Apparently the coaching staff didn’t tell him to move on. This is all Seth wanting to leave.

Cool with me. Tired of seeing 40 bad snaps a season.
