I have the Milwaukee. It's great but if you don't have one of the big batteries it doesn't last very long on high. Real powerful though. I would compare the power to my echo backpack blower but again the big battery is a must.

It took two years for the surgery to take? That seems excessive. How many samples did he have to give? Did he ever have a negative test or was is positive every time?

Vasectomy Question

Posted by GAFF on 2/20/25 at 7:32 pm
Had a vasectomy nearly a year ago. I was supposed to take a sample after 30 days then a second sample 2 weeks later. I'm lazy af and finally got around to taking my first sample to my Dr today. Test came back negative but said I still need to submit a second sample before they'll sign off. How important is the second sample considering it's been a year?

Best one is still the cop that literally took his badge and vest off and started throwing hands with a suspect. Suspect said the officer wasn't shite without the badge and vest and that's why he acted so tough. Officer told him he wouldn't take him to jail after he whipped his arse. Officer proceeds to beat his arse, then when his partner arrived on the scene he told him not to handcuff him. Cop was fired for it but still the best FAFO examples out there.

FAFO

Seeing how the govt has operated the last 15 years I’m ok with it.

When Do We See Results From USAID?

Sure, everything is coming out, but when does the accountability start? Digging all this up does nothing if there aren’t any prosecutions. Half the country still thinks this isn’t a big deal and they never will. That’s not going to change. These same people would give the medal of freedom to someone if they assassinated Trump. They don’t care that the govt was funneling trillions of dollars. Their party is losing and that’s all that matters. If the attempt is to shed light on everything so the country will have a “change of heart” it isn’t happening.

Stop trying to win the hearts and minds of the nation and just start arresting people.

I can’t imagine this is a good business

I think it’s definitely a quantity game. There is a person who does it somewhat local to where I am. Her basic wash and fold is $1.50 per pound. Price goes up with the more services you add.
Anybody out there boujee enough that they pay to have someone wash their clothes? Just curious as to what you pay for the service and what’s offered. Looking for the ins and outs of the business to see if it’s even worth it. What’s offered? From early research we see it’s normally done by the weight and price goes up with the more services you want (ironing, fabric softeners, pick up and delivery, etc)

Wife loves doing laundry (says it’s relaxing to her) so she thought why not.

If Kirby is off the table then what other big time DC have we had besides Pruitt? Thread should have just been titled “Who’s better between Sark and Lane?”

DeBoer’s First Year

Posted by GAFF on 12/8/24 at 2:30 pm
Still one game to play but how would you all rate his first year? I’m a firm believer that a new coach gets a pass his first year. New players, coaches, schemes, etc. Just too much to take in to consideration to hold against anyone.

Having said that, my thoughts from last January were that the minimum requirements to be considered a successful year were at least a 9-4 season (didn’t imagine the loses would be to Vandy and OU..), absolutely get a playoff berth with 12 teams, and top 5 class. Obviously the recruiting class was successful. The 9-4 record as well. The playoff berth however stings. Seeing now how the rankings shake out I must say I’m not a fan, but if we handle business we’re in. With this roster and 12 spots there was no excuse not to make it. Again, free pass his first year but we must be a representative in a 12 team playoff going forward. We don’t have to win it, but we need to at least be in the hunt.

What are your thoughts on the season?
Why does everyone forget that Miami looked like absolute dog shite with their back up QB? FSU wasn’t left out because the QB got hurt. They got left out because they’re team sucked after he got hurt.

I see a lot of people are deflecting to the “loss to a 6-6 team” narrative. That wasn’t the question. I won’t be mad if Bama isn’t in, they should have handled business and didn’t. This thread is about future seasons though. I’m sure you’ve all seen the graphic showing the ranking of 3 loss teams in the past. Several were “on the bubble”. What happens when LSU or UGA is 9-3 but sits at home after playing an SEC schedule while #11 Boston College and # 9 FSU play in the ACC champ game. Neither ACC team has a Top 25 win and both have two loses. You’re telling me you’d be ok with FSU or Boston College being rewarded for playing a shite schedule in a shite conference while your team sits at home after finishing 3rd or 4th in the SEC? You beat multiple Top 25 teams but because a team played in conference champ game they’re rewarded? Not won the champ, just played in the game. Nah..

Would SMU drop 3 spots if

The game was played during the regular season? How far would #8 fall if they lost to #17? If more than 3 spots then what are we even talking about?

This is what I'm getting at. I assume you wouldn't run your heat strips or they're 5kWers?

The question came up because I'm in the middle of construction and I'm close to the finals being ready to go in. Unfortunately the power company is saying that it'll be after Christmas before they can get permanent power hooked up. So I thought I'd just get a generator to run the heat until then. Then afterwards I'd have a generator for back up. After speaking to my HVAC guy he recommended using electric heat over the heat pump to keep dust out of the system during installation of finishes. He said he feels like just one of the strips would do what I'm wanting (10kW strip for 2700 sqft home). Mainly just trying to keep the inside somewhat acclimated for cabinets and trims.

My thought was if I'm going to buy one might as well get one for the whole home. Now I'm not so sure  I'm thinking of the "portable" kind rather than the stand alone systems. Maybe a 15kW? How many watts would I need if I wanted to run one 10kW heat strip and led can lights during constructions, but still have enough to power some essentials once the home is complete (when not running the heat strips)?

Whole Home Generator

Help me understand sizing options specifically concerning heat strips. I’m not an HVAC guy or electrician. Everywhere I look it says that ~23kw is sufficient for most homes. I have two air handlers, both with 10kw heat strips. Wouldn’t I need at least 20kw to run each heat strip before I even get to powering everything else? Is that logic correct or is there usually a running wattage that is lower?
Does the female marketing manager who came up with/approved the trany endorsement still work there? Last I heard she was still employed. Until she’s gone Bud Light isn’t sorry. I’m sure they’ve fired people for less and this woman killed the brand.
