Hopefully today's game will allow Sears and Burnett to get their groove back.

I gotta be honest our whole PR team should be fired

Said the exact same thing about 3 weeks ago and got hammered with downvotes.

UA PR should've simply issued a statement early on making it very clear that UA can't/won't disclose, discuss or answer any media questions regarding the investigation or court cases. And everyone should've declined all media inquiries.

Maybe. I kind of doubt it though.

The fact that they let Oats get in front of reporters without being fully briefed on everything they knew is egregious. It should have been handled better.

Totally agree on that though. The school dropped the ball horribly. There was more than enough time to get out in front of this and they took zero steps to do so.

Considering he's receiving fricking death threats now though, I think it's pretty shameful that neither Tuscaloosa PD nor the DA has released a formal statement explaining that he is not a suspect, has never been a suspect, and here is why. Because it's starting to get out of hand.

You're right. He looked very timid in the first half with the ball. But the second half he started looking more comfortable. But he was 3 for 7, 2 for 5 from 3. But I'm still nervous with him as a ball handler/playmaker. Though I know he's capable.

A 16 seed is just what the doctor ordered for our guys.

They did. They've told reporters that and yet they continued. At this point, I would expect a lawsuit by Miller against media companies and folks such as Clay Travis, Joseph Goodman, Mike Rodak and others in coming months Especially when media continue to reports on that nonstop and wont' even print retractions and etc.

I've got to be honest, this whole "Alabama's PR department shite the bed" take is a bit overblown. There's not a whole lot they could legally have done differently. And, all the negative BS really just comes down to media WANTING to write that stuff to get clicks, opposing fans WANTING to believe it, but not wanting to read more than headlines, and our own fans engaging and helping to drive up the profits. Nothing Alabama could have said would have done anything to change those facts. AND, the more they say, the more it drives the discussion. It's basically a microcosm of our internet society in 2023.

frick 'em all and enjoy the games.

Any attempts to argue innocence or to present facts that prove innocence - come across as callousness and "protesting too much"

I've tinkered with my bracket so much at this point, I've lost all confidence in my picks

Elite 8:
Alabama
Creighton
Duke
Marquette
Houston
Texas
UConn
Gonzaga

Final 4:
Alabama (easiest path imo)
Duke (they're either losing today or making the FF)
Texas
UConn

Championship:
Alabama over UConn

We're at the point where everyone has already made up their mind, regardless if they even know the basic details of the night or not. I'm at the point I'm staying off the college basketball subreddit and ignoring certain shows during bracket coverage. Let's just hope the team is dialed in and ready to put on a show over the next few weeks.

People that I've talked to in person seem to have more reasonable takes than most people online. Best to ignore at this point and enjoy this historic Alabama team as much as you can.

That doesn't go over well in the media world, either.
It'd be "what are they hiding?", etc

Exactly mine except I've got Texas beating UConn.

Just got into it on the rant about this.

Not one person over there even knows why they want Miller suspended. They can’t name a single team rule or law he violated.

It’s just a good old fashioned lynch mob.

I need Cal to earn his paycheck and get this UK team finally hitting their stride. I have them getting hot and making the FF vs Bama. I have Purdue and Marquette going out early so UK will have to get past Mich St and FAU to win the region.

I know stats support the fact that UK just isn’t that good but they really have talent and length. I’ve watched them all year long.

They’ll probably go down to Providence after typing all that.

I normally go with logic in past brackets and fail. I decided to go against logic this time. My bracket is wild.
