There are at least 2 other boards this thread is more appropriate for.

women are not required to go into that line of work. Many women do it because it actually does make them feel empowered.
I doubt this at all. You can certainly have that opinion, but these women aren't doing this for any sense of "empowerment".
I feel sorry for them. They are selling their bodies and souls for a few bucks. Further, I'm quite certain most are drug addicts , since they probably have to load up just to get through their shift .
Not to mention their pimps (or whatever you call them) probably make sure they keep them drugged up, etc. just so they won't grow a conscience and quit doing this line of work.

I'll agree.
That was his moment to throw all his commitment to Ole Miss and it wasn't there.

Lol
Never change LSU fan
Always play victim to ref calls.
Even in a game that has zero effect on this year's team.

re: Did the crackdown on welfare benefits kill the sneaker market?
Posted by East Coast Band on 11/28/25 at 10:01 am to stout
I think liberals and conservatives can find common ground on the crackdown on welfare benefits.
True crackdown.
First, we could really save millions or billions if welfare benefits only go to the really needy. Conservatives happier
And the needy would really get their government help. Liberals still happy.
But, the problem is that, lets be truthful, fraud in the welfare benefits helps corporations like Walmart, etc.
So many corporations aren't really wanting to eliminate fraud and overspending for welfare recipients, because they know it helps their bottom line, even if it is ill gotten gain through fraud.

re: Now the Annual Thanksgiving Play by Play Thread

My Thanksgiving has been terrible.
Long story short,
I had to rush to an emergency vet this morning, only to have to euthanize one of our dogs.
But, on a positive note, we did just rescue a dog from the pound that was more than likely going to be euthanized himself.
Sorry, for this. I know our stories in this thread are typically light hearted and humorous.

Eastern time zone and Central time zone teams get to play latest possible game.
Further, and probably can't depart til morning now, missing a portion of Thanksgiving day with family.

The weird statistical fact is that if you take any random group of just 53 people ( take an NFL team roster for example) and there is a 99+% chance at least 2 of the 53 share a birthday.
