Not sure if already posted. But 29 of ESPN'S 42 analysts picked Bama to get to the Final 4. 11 of 42 picked us to win the national title.

We polled ESPN's crew of men's college basketball commentators, analysts and writers -- the experts off the court, if you will -- for their thoughts on the best of the field of 68. Who do they have winning each region, and who do they have winning it all?
Our group of 42 experts failed to reach a consensus this season on which team will win its way to a spot in the Final Four and cut down the nets at NRG Stadium in Houston on April 3. They picked from among 10 different teams, which proves it's a wide, wide open field, and anyone's for the taking.
The South region belongs to Alabama
The Crimson Tide's newsmaking off the court didn't hurt their selection as the No. 1 overall seed on Selection Sunday -- and hasn't seemed to hurt their chances to win the South region, either. Twenty-nine of our 42 experts have Nate Oats' squad entering the Final Four. That's a whopping 69%. Other picks include 2-seed Arizona (7 votes), 3-seed Baylor (4) and one lone taker for 6-seed Creighton. Does Sam Ravech know something we don't about the upset potential within this region?
It's a Texas affair in the Midwest
Two teams from the Lone Star State anchor this region: Houston and Texas. Each of the top five seeds in this quarter of the bracket received at least one vote, with over half going to the 2-seed Longhorns (54.8%, or 23 votes), one-third to the 1-seed Cougars (14) and single-digit votes for 3-seed Xavier (2), 4-seed Indiana (1) and 5-seed Miami (1). The third Texan school in this region got a vote, too: Given Texas A&M's relative success in the SEC this season, it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility for Marty Smith.
The East goes Blue
Men's Tournament Challenge
There's a lot of faith in Jon Scheyer among our experts and the larger population of bracket fillers. The first-year Duke head coach, who guided his freshman-dominant crew to a 5-seed, has the confidence of 62% of our experts. In fact, here's an interesting trend: 45% picked both Alabama and Duke to be in the Final Four; 26% picked Alabama, Texas and Duke for the Final Four.
A brave few believe 1-seed Purdue's chances to reach the Final Four (2), but for the most part, our experts predict some significant upsets here. And why not? In addition to the Blue Devils, Big East champ Marquette is as dangerous as a 2-seed gets and comes in as the second overall favorite (11 of 42).
The West is at an impasse
This might be the most interesting of the regions this year, at least to ESPN's experts, who were split five different ways on the eventual winner. There was surprisingly less confidence in reigning champs and top seed Kansas (19.5%) than in 4-seed UConn (31.7%). Gonzaga is tapped by 24.4% to slide into that Final Four spot. UCLA, even with its injured defensive star Jaylen Clark out, still has a shot to some. And Arkansas, home to a couple projected first-round NBA draft picks, gets a couple nods.
So, who's going to cut down the nets?
Because that's what you, and we, all want to know.
Unfortunately, our experts are just as split as the rest of us. A combination of Texas and Houston (38.1%) has the Midwest region winning out over Alabama and the South (26.2%). Meanwhile, a potential repeat for Kansas is not preferred by our experts (7.1%). Or, for that matter, a larger population. According to 9,295,314 brackets (and counting), just under 11% are predicting the Jayhawks to bring the Big 12 a third consecutive championship. Duke and UConn are more favored by our experts (11.9% and 9.5%, respectively) than by the larger bracket population 3.1% and 2.1% respectively). No, Jay Bilas doesn't have his alma mater winning it all.

The MEDIA is doing it for CLICKS!
"CLOUT CHASING"
I hope y'all realize that if the story was true that Spears was there...he would've been questioned and his named would've been indicated in some form or fashion at the hearing for possibly being another witness at the scene of the crime.
DON'T BE FOOLED!
These folks are just trying to make Alabama look bad that's all.
The PR team probably never imagine something of this magnitude ever playing out here so they had some stumbles in the ROAD early on with the situation but as of late they've gotten better. We aren't always perfect doing our own jobs...we all make mistakes but at the end of the day just keep trying to be the best at your job.

I agree with most of the analysts which is why I will be wrong.
There isn’t a clear front runner this year IMO.
If Sasser stays dinged I don’t think Houston has a shot because they can’t score enough to win consistently against elite teams, but their bracket is wide open so if he can get healthy the path is there.
Bama is the team with the highest ceiling but Sears, Griffin and others have been in a funk since the shooting scandal and could easily shoot their way out of the tournament against a good team.
Kansas has looked vulnerable and Self isn’t going to be locked in with his health issues and it could impact his game prep.
Purdue has vulnerable guards, lacks athleticism and a physical team capable of slowing down their low post scoring could be a major problem for them.

IMO the two most important players in the tournament are:
1) Mark Sears: If he goes back to a 18ppg / 43% 3P% guy I think Bama cuts down the nets
2) Sasser: If he’s healthy Houston can win it all

I finally settled on Bama vs Houston in the title. I had UConn and Texas at one point. But I think Houston has the talent and I'm going with Sampson over Hurley or Terry.

Me too but I’m not confident with either of them.
Mid season Bama I would be stocking up the champagne, because that roster is head and shoulders better than anyone else. Now when you are pinning your hopes on Quinnerly to score 15 every night and not have a meltdown game against elite competition I’m not sure I trust the guards.
Who could’ve guessed that Sears, Bradley, Burnett and Griffen would all regress at the same time?
I don’t trust Texas, but the B12 teams are at least battle tested whereas the SEC and B10 were both pretty bad IMO.
UCONN, Gonzaga and Duke are the three teams that I wouldn’t want to see as they were all massively underseeded relative to their current output due to early struggles, but each of them have a shot at a championship in the tier right behind Houston/Bama IMO.

Griffen played pretty good against Texas A&M. Bradley really needs to work in his shot. But against smaller, weaker guards can be very effective. Sears shot problems are all in his head. We know he's capable of shooting 40% plus. There's still time before face any opponents that we have to have him playing well to win. Sucks about Nimari. I hope you can find his touch, and we have seen him look good. But between Texas tech what he's been doing lately, while I'm hoping he'll gets it together, he still hasn't done it consistently at the college level. He was looking good before the injury. So I'm hoping it's a psychological issue that can be fixed, like Sears.

This is the first time I’ve ever truly believed that we are capable of dominating the tournament and cutting down the nets. But like us in football, we have a tendency to get in our own way. We have the best overall squad in the tourney but we could also get bounced early.

Unless other evidence is presented, I will fight tooth and nail that Miller is innocent of any wrongdoing other than just being a dumb naive kid in the whole situation. But I do agree our PR department really messed up and let Oats and the team down in a big way. If they had just been fully transparent with ALL the facts they had from the jump this would not be the story it is. The fact that they let Oats get in front of reporters without being fully briefed on everything they knew is egregious. It should have been handled better.

Everyone I've seen in the hoops thread has been saying that for 3 weeks. But there's always a few dumbasses. I'm guessing it was FOGs that didn't start paying attention until a month ago.

Hustle? Check.
Defense? Check.
Shot? No. He's unsure and it shows every time he pulls up.
Ball Control? No.
He can be the next star for Bama but he hasn't showed he's ready to play consistent winning basketball in the tournament yet for Bama. He had stretches in the SECT that could've lost the game for Bama had other guys not stepped up.
If Sears and Burnett were playing at midseason form it wouldn't matter but at least one or two of those guys need to start playing at a championship level.
