I’m starting it now but yeah I’ll hold off on spoilers until tomorrow night.

They did great on this last season. Got back to what originally made the show so good.

Agreed. Hell I think I enjoyed it even more than season 1. Ritchie has one of the best written arcs of all time.
Yeah dumping the full season at once is kind of a red flag but hopefully we get one more season. I enjoyed season 1 but season 2 just hit it out of the park.

I feel like the BiW definitely is connected to the tree. However I can’t figure out how he’s a ghost but aging? Maybe it represents the cycle and how it’s about to restart?
Just finished season 2. Glad this thread was bumped. Hopefully we get a season 3, this show is addicting.
He’s the Noir detective without all the stereotypes of the classics. He has empathy, doesn’t like violence, keeps his own emotions mostly in check, and he doesn’t cling to the femme fatale characters. It’s been refreshing to watch while still maintaining plenty of Noir elements.

I suppose the Johnathan Majors stuff really screwed up the MCU... they should have just ignored it like most of Hollywood

Even before the Majors news the future wasn’t exactly looking bright. Their big bad was taken down by Loki in a show and Ant-Man in a movie that bombed. Most of the shows were duds and a good portion of the movies didn’t generate much excitement.
Really enjoyed the start to season 2. I'm glad the show looks like they're going to try and keep it balanced between Noir and Sci-Fi. One of the more interesting shows to watch right now. The classic movie references are always my favorite part.

The eye thing was cool. But what was MiY’s deal with this chubby chick? Have we seen that or is that an offscreen thing? Seems like the latter.

Pretty sure it was off-screen, which makes it pretty lame, but at the same time, we'd be asking every week for the payoff to their deal.

Sophia says digging up the bones is “the right idea of course.” Says it’s not gonna work out well. “This place is built on rituals and how you do something is just as important as what you do.”

Sophia/MiY went from not caring who was digging up the bones to getting worried real quick after realizing it's just Tabitha and Jade.

quote:

Wait so Julie listens to what Tabitha said and doesn’t mention that she saw MiY kill Jim (or at least the aftermath of it), and actually asks if he’s the one who killed him? And all of a sudden she’s all in on “this place lies and everything is full of shite”? That doesn’t make any sense at all. What happened to her and Randall’s escapades? And she literally has experienced herself visit different times and interacting with things, so she knows it’s more than just “giving herself seizures.” I don’t get what the writers are doing with her all of a sudden.

Fairly certain the Julie we saw who witnessed Jim's death was from the future. I'm wondering if the events of the finale will force Julie to attempt story walking again to go back and save everyone in season 5.

Solid episode to set things up for the finale. My wish is that Fatima turns completely into a monster, kills Ethan’s bitch arse, and then murder-suicides herself and Ellis. That would set the final season up really well for me. :fingerscrossed:

I'm at the point where I dislike every character except Jade and a couple of others. Boyd going off on everyone and constantly ranting has been played out. Fatima and Ellis I never liked. No idea what they're planning with Sara. Don't care for the kids really but I'm sure Julie has some sort of role. Victor just seems like the guy who will sacrifice himself or something for everyone to escape. I can't see him adapting to the real world. I guess I like Kenny.
I only have 2001 on 4K, the rest are either old Blus or I don’t own yet. May be worth a purchase but that Criterion price tag won’t be cheap.
Casablanca is my favorite movie of all time and in no way shape or form should that be considered an American movie.
Make sure to check out the prior season discussion threads through your watch. They were a nice resource to have.
At least with Hawkeye he served a purpose in the first Avengers by being a plot point. You could also reasonably see him going against basic alien troops and robots.

Pugh going against Doom and giant robots? Yeah nothing.
I don’t care, Heat 2 and Miami Vice are going to rock.
My enthusiasm for this movie has nosedived. I went from wanting to go opening night to maybe getting around to it a week or two afterwards.
